I just checked preview map in Arena Assault to see the Nth Reinhardt/Nowi/b!Lyn/Dancer team and I felt like deleting the app off my phone for the first time...

Arena and AA have become so utterly obnoxious and boring, it’s not even like I have the slightest difficulty in dealing with these teams, but it’s So. Damn. Boring!!!

I want to blame the sheeple who run these teams on defense. Is it really worth 900 feathers/week to suck the joy out of this game for people? I really wish the Sacred Coins and Stones weren’t locked behind this obnoxious arena participation wall because It’s mind numbingly boring to do even 14 matches/week of this shite...

Somebody please cheer me up...

Cheer you up. Some people are not like that and use their favorite characters. Some of them are more viable now thanks to the weapon refinery.

I know. I wish they'd flat out nerf BLyn by changing what the Murgleis/Mulagir does or by just taking away some of her stats

Honestly the main issue with her is that she is a ranged archer. Even if you remove mulagir and her B slot, she can run brave bow with cavalerie buffs.

taking away Sacae's Blessing would make her way easier to deal with for a lot of people because they could just use bk or ike or any of the dc units to bait and kill her, even with brave bow. The biggest problem build is really Firesweep CA since then mages and dragons can't counter either, and it also shuts down raventomes. Changing her skills would make her easier to deal with at lower arena scores where not many people can afford to give her firesweep, but at higher scores not much would change.

I agree that not everyone is like that. I base my arena team around someone I want to use, then pick teammates to complement them or counter problem opponents for them. While I do have a Rein and B!Lyn and pair them up for ally support, I use them for other places instead of arena defense.

Earlier today, I fought this team, which is composed of Lucina and her variants, so this is a good break from the cookie cutter teams many of us had to face.

Bruh, i understand the feeling. I do have counters for BLyn and Rein but they are still a pain in the ass to fight. If that cheers you up my def team doesn't use those two fuckers even tho i have them. I just think that i would make somebody ragequit if i put them in arena def

Says the guy using that exact team on defense? Your callousness in unnecessary and unwanted otherwise. If you think you’re speaking some truth or wisdom by saying “it’s just a game, it’s not worth it etc etc” I mean come on guy, how many times have people used that broken record line? We’re all aware it’s a game, what’s “worth it” is completely subjective and you can’t tell me what’s worth or not worth my time to complain about.

I understand, it gets really disheartning when 8 times out 10, you fight a team with Reinhardt, B!Lyn, or both. It gets frustrating seeing so many people incorporate them in their defense, coming from a guy that has both in my horse emblem team (but almost never uses for arena defense). Thankfully I've gotten really lucky recently with my AA runs and have been encountering far less of them, guess it's because my armor emblem team has a higher rating. I'd like to think that the meta for arena defense is slowly becoming more actual defense oriented rather than having a hyper offensive team for defense in the form of the aformentioned Rein Lyn dancer combos. Hopefully with all the armor related stuff released recently will force people to actually put some thought and creativity into their teams, rather than going braindead.

But there's one thing that you guys don't get. Not everyone who uses BowLyn and/or Reinhardt actually like them. I have a Horse Emblem team that consists of these two that I use for Arena, or other content, for the simple fact that it's efficient. Not everyone will have a 5* version of their favorite hero, or have the feathers necessary to get everything needed for said hero.

For the longest time, I used Horse Emblem in Arena because it was the most efficient. It got things done and gave me enough points to get the orbs and feathers I was looking for. At the same time, I didn't like using them. I don't like using Horse Emblem because it's pretty much a win-condition for a lot of the content in game, and none of the horse units are my favorite characters.

TL:DR - Not everyone has the resources to make 5* +10's of what they want, so they use what they can. Using Rein+Lyn Combo is more efficient than using units you actually like, but can't actually use for the content you're trying to win at. Use what you have to get the resources. Once you have enough resources, THEN build up the team you're wanting. That's what a lot of people, like me, have been doing, or are still doing.

I understand where you’re coming from, and of course I’m aware people only use them because it’s effective and gets them a few wins on arena defense.

But I addressed that point by saying: Is it really worth it, in your eyes, to contribute to making the game repetitive and boring for many other people just to increase your chances of getting 900 feathers per week?

If, however, you mean you use them for Arena Offense, then that’s completely fine. I use them both on my Horse team, which is like my third or fourth string, but I can proudly say I’ve *never* used them on Arena Defense, and I’ve *never* gone a season (since getting to tier 19/20) without netting the full Defense score.

I mean, at that point, it isn't really about the community. Some people, contrary to popular belief, really enjoy Lyn, or Reinhardt, hence them being used (aside from earlier reasons that were given). If I like a unit that the rest of the community deems annoying, boring, 'unworthy', etc, then the community would just have to deal with it. Someone shouldn't have to change their team because the community finds said team annoying, especially if the person likes the people on said team.

I, for one, really love Bow users. In practically every game with different classes, like MMO's, I tend to pick the bow before anything else, so B!Lyn was a no-brainer during the CYL banner. Reinhardt is used because I don't have any blue horse units that I like, so out of the blue horse units that I have, he is the most efficient (and already 5*).

So, to answer your question about is if it's "worth it" for some people, then yes. Some people really like those units and will continue to use them. They shouldn't have to dull their experience because their tastes don't fit with the rest of the community.
