Someone I know is really wanting to try this.

This is not mine, I tried telling them no.

They want to put:
Blarblade+
(which was my idea that they did listen to)

SS4 as his A
QR3 as his B
Same C
BA/R seal

Can someone actually tell me why this would be a solid build?

It seems decent to me, at an extreme.

With that general idea I would do this
Blarserpent would be ideal, but an owltome as about as good, with less cost.

From what I can gather it would result in an overall increase in Enemy Phase survivability, nothing wrong with that.

I mean yeah this build is pretty awkward but blarblade makes it worse lol. He would do well with an owl or serpent spell. If they did the owl spell with DC, QR, and DD or CD then lowkey it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world lol.

It's... dubious. It lacks focus.

If he goes for the blade tome and brazen seal I take it to mean he wants to OHKO somebody. So steady stance 4 doesn't make sense, and QR isn't much better (it can help him get into brazen range, and that's about it)

Steady stance 4 can make sense - enemy specials can be extremely deadly in some cases. It also works well with QR. Then he should use an owl or serpent tome and the distant def seal.
