Some LA Eliwood Questions

Just two quick questions.

1. Do you guys think LA Eliwood's Res is high enough to run Ploy skills, like Def or Atk Ploy? Assume that I'm talking about his flat 29 Res, not with any sort of refinements added on.

2. Could LA Eliwood feasibly run a Brave Lance+ set? I know Effie does a very similar job, but since LA Eliwood has a nearly as high attack and is easier to obtain, could this be worthwhile? This is, of course, with Death Blow, and let's say that it's without Bold Fighter 3 since that's a pain in the butt to obtain. He'd be supported by Guidance, and have Armored Boots.

29 res is definitely not enough unless you run a refinement or a res boosting a slot

my LAwood runs brave lance and bold fighter and he performs wonders with it but he never really needs the quad to do the job, a regular brave lance set works fine without bold fighter

if you have a +atk effie she is definitely a better brave lance candidate and LAwood has nice speed to help avoid doubles and opens up his B-slot to something else that isn't wary fighter and effie is arguably easier to obtain in all fairness..

Honestly, whatever you want to do with him, you can because his stats have all been balanced in a way that he is incredibly flexible but he wont be the best at any job you give him but he will perform decently no matter what

Actually you right; just realized using straight up Effie saves me a lot of trouble lol. I have a +Atk -Res one, which seems to be like the second best IV spread, so I'll build that instead. Thanks for the answer!

1. No, his 29 Res definitly don't work with a ploy skill.

2. I think that Firesweep Lance+ is better for LA Eliwood, it prevents that he takes damage and this make him a great candidate for armored boots, with death blow in A, bold fighter in B and moonbow in the special, he'll be a very good unit, this build is some expensive, but, it's cost each feather and orb that you'll invest in he.
