Soleil question

So i recently pulled a 4* Soleil with not so good IVs (-Spd +Def) and i was wondering if i should bring her up to 5* to fodder her sword off. I already have a Soleil with not good but not bad IVs (-Atk +Spd) and i don't think i should merge them. As for Drive Res i don't really have someone who can really use it. Any suggetions on how to proceed?

I’d suggest doing what you’re not thinking about doing: merging the 2 at 5* and trying to find a better copy to merge the +1 into later. Soleil is extremely powerful at max merge, and is arguably better than Ayra when maxed out.

OKay, the bigger question is, do you actually have a unit that wants firesweep sword? Its not just a weapon you pass over, it needs a bit of preparation. That being said, if you truly do, I would say go for it.

I would personally keep her and your other copy and merge her into a better Soleil later on, since, as TG15 has stated, she is close to, if not as good, as Ayra. She can run a Slaying Edge build which could really rival Ayra, she can run a wo dao build which also wrecks hardcore, she can even run a nice dc build if you like her that much, or you can keep her with the Firesweep build and reep the benefits of a really, really fast unit that cant be hurt.

Long story short, Id keep her, like TG recommended, I'm not a huge fan of scrapping 5 stars myself (Unless its spring xander or one of my many, terrible -spd spring chroms XD)

Well there is one unit i was planning on giving the Firesweep Sword+ and that is an +Atk -Res Hana that i'm building up as of now. She's still 4 star and i'll promote her soon enough probably (I know it would be better to merge her +10 at 4 star but +10 merged 4 star units are my pet peeve)

hahaha then you were like I was back when the game started. I myself avoided them for some time until recently when I noticed that, I only wanted to fill the catalog (Pseudo f2p hurts when u wanna do that) and since I dont wanna have 100 different useless 5 stars that I will never use, I just make the 4 star merges out of the characters I dont really like, and I make my faves 5 stars. I do get ya though, if you really want to, go for it, Hana is pretty great with firesweep. (I do like Slaying Edge more myself, since Soleil is pretty fast and can run Swordbreaker, but I do differ to your judgement here.)

Well i'm more incline to think like "Wouldn't they be far more stronger if they were 5 star +10?". I know that doing it with 4 star is easier and it's not really all that bad. But since i'm both a masochist and someone who likes to be a completionist i take the long road instead of the short one

Feel ya. Issue with being a completionist here, is that the only way to get there is a very long, very arduous road my friend. Good luck, I kinda decided to take the completionist route with my faves, since I really don't want to 5 star 11 Merric(s) some day, cause that's just gonna hurt me XD

Soleil is the best user of her sword, but Hana has been craving a firesweep sword since they introduced firesweep weapons.
