So...is a +attack, -speed Brave Roy salvageable?

I decided to use the last of my TT orbs today, and was pleasantly surprised when Brave Roy came out of the smoke.

I run a horse team of Xander/Blade Cecilia/Reinhardt/Brave Lyn, and I was planning on replacing Xander with Roy if I got Roy, but my Roy has...pretty bad IVs.

Would it be worth building him for Horse Emblem anyways, or should I just keep Xander on my team? Is it even worth building him at all?

I think if you're using Hone cavalry on another unit, -spd is workable. But in that case, every other unit on the team would benefit more from hone than Roy, so it would be natural to put it in his C-slot.

Anyway, I'm not sure that team is well served by replacing Xander with Roy, it's awfully player-phase oriented and not too durable (although, disclaimer, I've been running that exact team for a few days to moderate success, but my B!Roy is not -spd).

Don't think that way, atk is still his best boon and makes up for the bane. I'm sure the speed can be patched up with cavalry buffs, or you could just run an all out attack set.

I mean if you support him with others or yourself that'll help, and if you have it you can give him a speed +1 seal. Steady blow helps too. (I'm no expert though, but B!Roy is still a good unit)
