So... What Tier will Wrath Lyn reach?

Ordinary Lyn is the only hero with Desperation built into her weapon...so she'll be able to run Wrath like no other unit. Do you think this will be a significant power boost for her?

Wrath: If unit's HP <= 75%, Special cooldown count-1 at start of turn if Special triggers by attacking. If Special triggers, +10 damage from Special.

Well...as someone that prefers to run Galeforce on her, I can't say much or how her performance would change. If she were to run Moonbow, then it would go off on every combat that she hits twice in and it would certainly give her a solid jump in damage output as well.

She may even be the one character that this ability becomes particularly useful on (much like Brash Assault was) and I like that something came out that would synergize with Lyn and her weapon mechanic as well, tho I can't say she's make any massive leaps in her rating on this site really.

At best she'll be upgraded from Tier 3 to Tier 2 if that.

Wait... Doesn't Galeforce trigger by attacking? I've never tested it with Wo Dao...does it trigger the +10 damage? Probably not...that would be too good to be true.

I have a feeling that maybe Wrath will work with Galeforce. Yes, Galeforce activates post combat, but it only activates post combat where there have been attacks.

Tsk. It was too good to be true. Wo Dao's bonus damage did not trigger with Galeforce. But, on the bright side, now my Lyn has Moonbow so she's ready for Wrath.

Ha, well I was expecting that, but if I end up pulling the spear chick, I'll almost definitely feed her to my Lyn regardless for that Moonbow combo.

Then again I've given my Lyn all her build options thus far anyways xD;

hey thanks for testing this out. If you remember/can try it again: does the cooldown go down each turn when hp is under 75% and she has galeforce equipped? I wasn't expecting the bonus damage, but the accelerated cooldown seems like it hinges on whether or not galeforce is considered a special that's triggered by attacking. If the cooldown does accelerate, that'd make pairing those two skills worth it. I'm just thinking of a tier 20 arena team for down the line, so no rush and thanks for the help.

I was thinking about this. Wrath also seems suitable for Killer weapon users such as Brave Ike and Wo Dao users.

Bonus Question: If Lyn is running Fury and Wrath... Could Reprisal actually be preferably over Moonbow for once as her HP approaches 1?

I'd probably still prefer Brash Assault over Wrath tbh, Brash Assault combined with her weapon makes it so she goes for attack over speed and when she's dipped below half her health, anyone who can counter attack her lets her double them regardless of speed stat, which can be really good to take out powerful units like Lucina and Ryoma.

Are you using Fury, or L&D? Cuz you have the same Lyn as I do and she still lands a solid 52 atk/42 spd. She can also still withstand 57 power from physical or magic so all you do is bait those opponents, enter desperation mode, attack back, kill, do whatever after.

It's not like most arena teams run more than 1 high speed red unit anyways in this Blue Mage/Reinhardt meta anyways.

I'd rather run Death blow 3 to raise her attack power even further and allows me to use Hone attack on her, Life and Death 3 isn't good because although it does raise her attack, her speed isn't gonna be used often especially when she's meant to be dipped below half her health to have both Desperation and Brash assault to kick in at the same time, plus this reduces her defense stats which makes her unnecessarily squishy. Fury 3 does make her tankier and helps her get into the threshold for 2 passives to activate but doesn't pack enough power like Death blow 3 does.

You can't guarantee doubles against mages however and we all know mage meta is what dominates this game. Brash Assault doesn't help against ranged opponents that aren't Takumi and tanking her defenses is fine since nothing can 1 shot her without brave weapons or buffs so it sets her up for Desperation easier without reliance on the Fury recoil.

The extra speed is good for doubling more units both naturally, ranged units, as well as letting you keep the B slot open for things like Escape Route (Teleporting Galeforce Lyn is great) or Wrath.

+Atk/-Res is what I have personally, and it works with L&D, Escape Route, Savage Blow, and Galeforce. I use an Atk+1 seal and Summoner Support with mine but with the existence o Wrath/Moonbow becomig a combination, the 45 speed of a +Spd/-Res Lyn with L&D becomes a much more tempting option that more than makes up for her lower attack stat (49 in this case) but costs the user the teleport or free extra turn option. However in shorter fights like Arena, or when you have a WoM dancer anyways, this becomes a much more brutal combination of letting Lyn just burst attack enemies with Moonbow and +10 for every double attack she makes, meaning a dancer with Hone Speed, instead of Hone Attack to guarantee doubles against even other fast unis becomes much more tempting to run.

That was my feeling... Now I cry at my +atk -hp Lyn secretly. I too feel that +spd Lyn has more upsides now with L&D, summoner support, and potentially the new Wrath skill.

Yes that is an issue, she can't use brash assault against ranged heroes that don't have close counter, but if you're running Galeforce you can opt to target them with the skill ready to activate after the next hit to kill them on the following turn, but this is situational.
