Yeah just the fact that at base Titania just got a more powerful Emerald Axe alone is disappointing. The 4* Titania that I had used a bit I gave a Slaying Axe+ because I didn't like the gem weapons except with dancers.
At least Neph's weapon gave her armor effectiveness at base, unlike the other two which just got more mt versions of their old weapon. I'm debating if I should give Neph her refine though? Could be nice for the added spd and def on enemy phase?

Agreed. Steady Breath would be wasted on Nephenee if you're running 2 CD specials. She also isn't exactly a character that'd run Aether well either. Running a 3 CD special for her is also sort of overkill. Her refinement sort of sucks though, since it's enemy phase. I've always seen Nephenee as a player phase unit, so that skill more or less sacrifices the 41 spd you could've gotten with the +spd slaying lance refinement, assuming you don't have -spd as a bane, and you're running her base A slot skill.

She's both, actually. She has a mix of great Spd *and* Def. I wouldn't call any of them overkill, and they actually make her arguably the best Infantry Lance. I'm seeing a lot of people dump into her Def and settling for the "not get doubled" Spd ranges, which tends to be under 40. She has a lot of Spd for a reason, and that's to mix phases. Not only that, but her HP is on the lower side if she just wants to be Enemy Phase.
See how easy it is to get her Spd & Def over 40? If you add a Def Tactic, that's already over 46 Spd/51 Def on Enemy Phase.
