So I have this extra Ishtar...
I was lucky enough to pull a +spd/-hp Ishtar. Now I just have to decide what to do with my old one. I know one merge isn't going to make or break anything, but it can certainly help get the ball rolling should I ever happen to pull more. The old one also has some inheritance thrown onto her that I would like to give to my new one too. However, Swift Sparrow is a very appealing and hard to come by skill that I could definitely make use of on other units. I'm having a terrible time deciding what to do, and was looking for some additional insight.

It can be a hard to get a meaningful amount of merges on a 5* exclusive unit, especially if you haven't dedicated yourself to the cause. Typically I would only suggest attempting to get multiple merges on a 5* exclusive if you really like that unit. However, since there are some skills you would like your new Ishtar to have from the old one, I would personally go ahead and merge IF you have no current or foreseeable need for swift sparrow and the skills you are speaking of are too expensive to reasonably get from the source(s) again. Fortunately there are a number of units with swift sparrow now, so it's not all that unreasonable to think that you would be able to get it later down the line if you're ever in need of it.

Swift Sparrow used to be the cream of the crop, but now it isn't quite as hard to come by, and quite honestly doesn't seem to really give you much more than just running Fury (other than scoring better).
There's 9 units that have Swift Sparrow now, albeit all locked to 5-star. But still, it isn't quite the fabled skill it used to be. Odd Attack Wave, on the other hand, is exclusive to Ishtar. If I were to think about foddering her, I would go with the much rarer skill. My two cents.
