So, here's a serious question regarding A Hero Rises

I'm not one to shy away from a meme, but...this time its a real, free unit for everybody. Like most of you I'm torn between a few units. Either Hector because he's stable and incase they don't want him DC fodder, Christmas Tharja who is also extremely potent, limited, and has Close Counter/Vengeful fighter if they don't want her, or B!Ike /V!Ike. Anybody else torn or do you guys have an opinion on what would be the best out of the four? Or do u guys think somebody else would be better for the majority of new/old players?

Please, don't wanna be a stickler, but lets avoid the memes for a sec and try to help out everybody in the game XD

Hi I really need a 5* Wrys.

The unit I want the most is either Summer Corrin or Halloween Nowi, but most people are probably gonna vote for either Hector or V!Ike, unfortunately.

Oh well. More DC fodder/Another V!Ike for me. :l

Don't go for Hector, go for winter Tharja!

I didn't say I was voting for Hector. To be honest, I don't really need any units to have Distant Counter right now. I gave it to my Donnel which was my main priority. I have another Hector (good IVs but never used) in case I need another DC fodder, but I'd rather get someone else.

Summer Corrin or Halloween Nowi for flying Blade Tome (I have Spring Camilla, but she's a green unit) are my main priorities.

Winter Tharja would PROBABLY make me use Armor Emblem more, because right now I only use it for the quests every month.

Oh don't worry you're not the only one torn on who to pick. Hector would be fantastic for me and be a prominent member for assembling Armour Emblem. but I want Spring!Camilla or Summer!Corrin more Because I really wanted them since first announced. I had missed out completely (both times for Camilla and on my freaking birthday no less on Corrin.) despite sinking every orb I could scrape together and I want them for finally getting a Flier emblem team off the ground, not because boobs or because Fates characters.

I will agree with you there, I scrapped up orbs for both of those characters and never got either, not even during the Legendary banner. Kinda sucks

I'm thinking about Christmas Tharja because everyone deserves an armored mage, even though I already have Halloween Henry. She'd be a valuable asset to any player.

Out of four, I'd probably go Hector, B!Ike, W!Tharja, and VL!Ike. Got more in mind but these four are at the top of my priority list.

I’m going W!Tharja as overall she is an amazing unit who will not return until around June at earliest.

Im serious, I'm torn between fodder units and quality A* units. Between hector and W!Tharja, I would go for W!Tharja coz she's A* unit and got 3 fodder skills nowadays are useful. So honestly I won't vote for hector, I probably go for W!Tharja/ Bike/ black knight/ Gunthraa (collection purpose)/ Fjorm/ Summer Corrin (waifu purpose) or brave lyn.

At least, please do not vote for Legendary Ike, whether its ur fav or not, just don't do it coz he's not that good during player phase and Reinhardt (or other blue mages) can KO him very easily. Its the player phase units that are good all around and can make the difference.

Can't tank Reinhardt eh? Clearly you haven't seen the Magic Ike meme yet...

But seriously deflect magic let's just about anyone tank Rein.

The problem with going for W!Tharja over Hector is that nearly any melee unit can use Hector's Distant counter effectively. Close counter, on the other hand, can't just be slapped on any ranged unit and used well.

The problem for going for W!Tharja is that she's actually a usable unit that people don't always fodder off.... Oh wait! That's not a problem.

I'm leaning between V!Ike and Winter Tharja. Looking at his stats and playing with him I think a neutral IV V!Ike is extremely playable.

Winter Tharja is a first class unit but not everyone runs an armored team.

Hector for a Distant Counter would be nice for the f2p crowd but there are always other build options.

...Ayra has great fodder, but so does Mia with that flashing blade skill (can't wait for that to be a seal)... I'm probably going to go with V!Ike. Only because CYL Hector isn't a thing yet (could Hector get Fierce Stance..?)

I could easily see CYL Hector with Fierce stance. He is the berserker after all.

I'm voting NY!Azura. As a seasonal she has a limited availability, is useful on many team comps, and is currently a unique unit type. The ability to dance while using guidance is huge. But I'll be happy with whatever we get.

Please for the love of God do not pick W! Tharja. I hate that goddamn unit and don't want her in the slightest. I cannot put into words how much I don't want her. I would rather get any given garbage meme unit over her. If you're trying to be pragmatic B! Ike is the best choice. Steady Breath is useful for people who don't give a damn about armor emblem and don't like W! Tharja and also for those who do want armor emblem. The skill is desired everywhere and getting a free one would be great for everyone. I personally want V! Ike, but if it means not getting W! Tharja I'm down for anything else. Seriously.

I’m sure 75% of free Hectors at the minimum would really just be free fodder. Winter Tharja would be fodder to me as well. Even Wrys would satisfy a fodder category for me.

Gunnthra would be good for me because I have an idea as to how I would use her, and so would the new Ike. Dorcas would be good because he’s Dorcas and I wanted him when he was first introduced to the game but didn’t have any luck getting him. Beyond that, anyone else I get would more than likely become fodder or merge material.
