Slaying Lance+ on Ephraim?

So my Ephraim is +def and summoner supported and I got to thinking of inheriting slaying lance.

He has steady breath with 38 def and gets an instant moonbow every time he’s attacked.

Now if I give him slaying lance his attack would drop from 55 to 53 but I would be able to get an instant bonfire every time increasing his damage quite a bit.

With Eirika he reaches 44 def (48 with steady breath) which is a nice chunk of extra damage every time.

This is all purely hyphothetical for now since I don’t think I’m going to sacrifice nephenee but would this be a viable build option?

As I mentioned I don’t really plan on sacrificing my one nephenee. However she is -spd so she kind of acts like a lesser Ephraim.

It's definitely viable, but feels like a waste of his legendary weapon. Why not run the same build on Nephenee or Lukas? If you want a tanky enemy phase Ephraim, Distant Counter+Moonbow+QR nets him something like 100+ kills when attacked, and doesn't sacrifice his buffing capabilities. I run Steady Breath Lukas and he's amazing at it.

Well my Ephraim doesn’t do the buffing since Erika is also on the team, so I use him to bait all reds, lancers, some colorless, and even some greens and it’s best when he can finish them off in one go.

Now unfortunately, I’ve never gotten a Hector since launch nor do I have a Lukas so that is why I’ve built him the way I have so far.

Obviously I wouldn’t abandon his legendary weapon completely, I just think t might make an interesting situational build.

In all truth, this sounds great. If you're looking for a more offensive oriented Ephraim, Slaying Lance would be his next best weapon honestly.

I am currently working on an Athena with
Steady Breath
Wrath
Spur Defense/Speed and/or Threaten Attack

She acts a tank while drawing in her power from both Wrath and her Wo Dao. Steady Breath gives her the ability to suppress her damage and get ready to pop her special and Wrath to reduce her cooldown when she's in trouble.

I'm currently relying on Moonbow, but at the same time, I'm honestly thinking about Bonfire since she'll have 35 defense when under attack (31 overall), but Aether honestly sounds REALLY good for her since both Wrath and her Wo Dao will give her 20 extra points of damage when active.

Steady Breath and Slaying Lance would allow Ephraim to pop his special quiet often, and Quick Riposte would honestly give him some deadly results in the instance of being a duelist. I think that would be good.

I’ve always wanted to mess with wo dao/Athena but I’ve never been able to summon her.
I really like being able to tank a bunch of damage and return for the kill.
If I end up getting a spare slaying lance I’ll definitely try it out and see how good it is.
