Should I use my orbs ?

Hello,

I have 53 orbs and I don't know what to do with them.
I have finished the story mode and the special maps with a team of M. Robin (4*), Ogma (5*), Lilina (5*) and either Catria (4*) or Cherche (3*).
The castle is leveled to 60%+ EXP bonus.
I can easily reach the 3000 offensive points and the 250 defensive points on the Arena. But, with only M. Robin as a focused character, and not a strong enough team to beat 7 expert fights in a row, no Rank feather for me.

Should I wait for new events, new gatcha ? Should I finish leveling the castle up (is that even worth it?) ? Should I spend it on gatcha ?
My instinct is on hoarding my orbs for future events, and use energy and feathers to level up other units (starters, Felicia, mounted units, for the achievements and for the beauty of 5* Anna). I also have some good 4* units (Fae, F. Corrin) that could be leveled up.

What would you do ?

The castle is so cheap, it should be the first thing you do. There is no reason not to do it. New gacha in about two days so wait if you want new units or use them now if you want to try and takumi/lucina and such.

I had the same problem as you but unfortunately gave into temptation and used up all my orbs.

1. Should you wait for new gatcha focus rates?:

Powercreep is inevitable, but some units might still be great if Nintendo makes thoughtful decisions of future unit's skills/stats. As long as you can finish most of Hard Mode or even some Lunatic with your team you should save them. Overall I suggest you wait for the next gatcha to see if Nintendo is good at balancing things out.

BUT if you feel you're lacking a variety of units, healers or tanks for example, you may want to try your luck. I don't really suggest this, but if you have a lot of story orbs left (lets say 20 more stages that aren't high level Lunatic) then you might want to invest 20 if you can't get any further. This is a big gamble, so be thoughtful. As for which gatcha you should choose if you go ahead with this plan - Deep Devotion is good in terms of variety.

2. Should you level up your castle?:

This is a tough one, but the general consensus is that it eases the burden of grinding Training Tower for EXP. Also consider the stamina cost for these stratums are halved for the launch event. If you plan to play in the near future you might want that 100% bonus to EXP when they revert to normal stamina costs. Just be aware it'll cost you 18 orbs from your 60% castle [8 orbs for 80% and 10 orbs for 100%]. If you just want the 80% upgrade for now that's also reasonable.

And just some other suggestions in regards to feather use. You may not want to use those feathers on Anna (even though I do love her commander design as well) since it's a pain in the ass to gather them. Use them on units either listed on tier lists or Corrin(F). My reasoning for Corrin is because she's a great support unit and a decent answer to most Red units in PvP, besides Marth, Lucina, and Chrom of course. If Nintendo is gracious enough to give 10,000 feathers every so often then I'd level up Anna as well. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I will go castle upgrade, to ease the leveling of my other 3* (mounted unit and Felicia for achievements) and 4*, and hold my remaining orbs for better days/new content as I have completed story mode in lunatic.

As for feathers... the prices for 5* are so steep ... it's disheartening.
