Should I re-roll?? (New player help)

Hey everyone, I just started playing about 2 weeks ago but in the midst of playing I forgot about High and Low tier heroes. I've completed both books on normal, and all the paralogues on up to hard. I've just been pulling when I have 20+ orbs and doing paralogues mainly due to that fact that I work so I drain my energy so its ready when I get off.
I have nine 5* heroes but haven't check the stats
(Also what is IV and how does it work?)
Heroes:
Fjorm: Princess of Ice
Lyn: Brave Lady
Nino: Pale Flower
Katarina: Wayward One
Karla: Sword Vassel
Ike: Vanguard Legend
Tharja: Obsessive Bride
Robin: Seaside Tactician
Noire: Shade Seeker

I'm just afraid that I should have save up more orbs for a different event other than pulling from the ones out now. I know that I still have Hard and Lunatic difficulties for the books and Paralogues so I should I just start saving or attempt a re-roll?

Well from what I do is for the special banners like the seasonal heroes or legendary hero banners I save up orbs until I can do one whole summoning round with the free summon then I save up my orbs until the very last day it is on then I go crazy on summoning and usually stop around 20 orbs or until I get a seasonal hero or just a gold. For normal banners like "Hero's with death blow" unless I want one of the heroes I just do the free summon then keep playing. If I want one of the heroes then I do like what I did for the seasonal ones.

Well, it really depends. You cant reroll for the brides, so that's a no go right now.

There's a video that should come out tonight regarding the Legendary Hero banner (one of the best times to pull at all) and it may have some of the best units in the game there. So Id recommend you wait a bit.

IV explanation:
In order to have a higher level of uniqueness, there will be some variation of stats for each unit (meaning that two of the same unit can potentially have differing stats). While each unit has a neutral line, they typically have one stat with a boon (3 points higher) and one stat with a bane (3 points lower). Some units have super boons/banes for certain stats, which is 4 points from the neutral stat lines. Most units have one or two stats that they wants boons or banes in that potentially changes their play styles. You can check IVs/figure out what thier stats will be at level 40 on each hero's respective page.

For someone who had just completed the normal difficulties, you have some very good 5* esp with Karla, Nino and great choice with Lyn. You can post the heroes here to have someone check it for you or you can compare the stats as provided in this website (lvl 1 or lvl 40). You can still roll for the legendary banner afterward with the orbs from higher difficulties story, which is probably going to feature some very strong units (and to be revealed in a minute or so).

To check IVs, take the lv1 or lv40 unit, subtract any bonuses from skills and seals (ex: fury 3 gives +3 to all stats; you might be using a stat-boosting seal; weapons add their mt to the character's base attack stat and sometimes an additional +3 to one stat, according to its description) and then look up the stats on the character's page. Don't forget to click "4*" if you're checking IVs for a 4* hero (or similarly for 3*). At least three stats should correspond to the yellow number, indicating a neutral IV in those stats. If your unit matches the green number, that is a boon stat; if red, a bane stat. Some units (most commonly Fjorm and L.Ike, the free units, as well as reward units from TT, GHB, etc.) have a completely neutral IV - no boon or bane stats.

It is not possible to verify the IV of a unit from lv2 to lv19, if I'm not mistaken. Once you reach lv20, if the unit is not 5* then you can go to the "upgrade potential" function and look at what the IVs would be at lv1 if you spent the feathers to upgrade him/her, and you can then use the process I gave above.

first off: IV is short for "individual values". Basically, every hero you summon has either a neutral IV or a bane/boon combination. These values are available on their respective hero pages. So lets say you summoned and pulled a summer tana from the new banner and her stats read as HP:15, ATK:21, SPD:14, DEF:5, RES:6 at lvl 1.This would be a summer tana that has a +SPD boon and -HP bane. Since shes +Spd/-Hp, her speed at lvl 40 will be at 39 as opposed to the natural 36. For a lot of the heroes in general, you'll find that +spd and +atk are the most desired boons.

I want to give you a disclaimer though...if you're just a casual player and you get a "bad" IVs such as -Spd or -Atk, don't worry too much. It's often the case that the character is still easily viable to use, especially for PvE maps and stuff. A lot of people out there jump to say that the hero with bad IVs is worthless and you shouldn't even bother; Don't listen to that, you can find builds that work, especially if you build the team round them more. With seals and stat buffs, you can make a lot work out.

Secondly: For the whole "should i re-roll?", I personally think you should just stay put, hold on to what you have and not reroll. The more you'll play, the more heroes you'll obtain and the easier it'll get to complete all the quests/event/arena rewards. I have a ton more 5*s than i ever thought i would've had if you asked me a year ago.
