Should I just let Est eat Abel 5*?

I have a 4* merge Est I started investing in a while back when my only blue unit was Ninian and the Fliers Gauntlet banner didn't net me Hinoka. I eventually got a surprise Hinoka but since she was -Atk and Est was at a +6 merge already I decided not to abandon Est.

Abel broke my pity rate for S.Corrin and he's got an okay nature, but I've been playing around with him a bit and he doesn't excite me as a unit and I don't have any attachment to him as a character. I also don't play Horse Emblem much and even when I do there's enough competition to fill those slots. I hate to look a gift horse (ha) in the mouth and use a 5* as fodder, but...

So... is Est worth finally getting her Brave Lance+ and bonus SB3 upgrade, or is there a hidden side to Abel I just can't see?

(note: I mostly wanted Hinoka because I like Hinoka, so I'm not foddering her away :P)

Est is a bloody meme based on Defense Ploy. I would save your Abel for someone a little better like Effie, but that's just my opinion. I'm saving the 5 star Abel I just got for when I get a better Effie.

In my defense, I was using her mostly out of desperation and way before DefEst Ploy happened, lol. I'll probably save him though; I can't believe I forgot I was still waiting on Effie to come around. Thank you!

The hidden side to Abel is on a Horse Emblem team with L&D, or Death Blow if you don't have access to L&D. If you're not going to run one, I'd suggest making him fodder, just not to Est. Like Cav said, wait and pass his Brave Lance+ to a better unit like Effie.

Yeah I think I'll hold off. I actually forgot Effie was the top priority spot for BL+ so I'm glad I asked the question........ I'll probably give Est BL+ someday just out of affection for her but her time isn't now.
