How important would it be to have Guard as Nowi's B slot? I've run some calculations and a +10 Ayra, Zelgius, B!Lyn, Reinhardt doesn't kill a +0 Nowi with Distant Def 3. They usually have their special procced at least once in combat and they do a small amount of damage but most importantly, don't kill her in 1 round.

I do plan to use her in higher tiers, whenever I can get up there. I use DD3 as her seal and QR3 in her B slot. Should I switch over to Guard 3 in her B, and QR as her seal?

I won't be modifying her Res at all, so she'll only have 29 Res at lvl 40 with no merges. I'll also most likely be dumping her speed, so she'll also most likely get doubled. I don't feel like 29 is enough to protect against anything, and the DD seal would push it up to 35, which is a great start before buffs and supports.

Ayra and Zelgius destroy you with their specials if you don't run a very high a amount of defense or if you avoid the double. Not a lot of things you can do about reinhardt really, as with moonbow he kills you straight up(at least he kills my +5 one). He might need hone cav, I am not sure so be sure to have panic ploy on your team, maybe on nowi herself. I am not sure about Guard. I considered it, but QR is much better most of the time. You can easily get critted by a heavy red team, but they are not so common. I once fighted a +10 ayra and Zelgius on the same team with their special ready, and my +def steady breath +5 nowi took 48 damage from Black Luna and between 20 and 25 from each Regnal astra(she triggered it twice with something like infantry pulse I believe, she has the slaying edge, DC, wrath combo), but this is an extremely rare case, and Zelgius can be beaten by a strong green mage in desperation range, Ayra is harder to deal with though with her speed.

Also, that happenned before the nerf in arena scoring, so this should be even rarer. If you have a unmerged nowi, you won't fight a lot of +10 units if any so I would wait before giving her Guard.

i think I understand that you plan to summoner support her, in which case Reinhardt indeed should not kill, and it should be a little bit easier to deal with Ayra and Zelgius, so yeah don't go for guard yet.
