Shame on me.

As of today, the title of F2P no longer belongs to me. I caved in and decided to spend money on orbs. I really want to pull Sigurd or Deidre, but didn't pull either of them when I used the orbs that I earned for free.
I know that I could be patient and wait to collect orbs via Log-in bonuses, challenges, and the upcoming Tempest Trial, but I'm too impatient to wait that long, and I'd like to get them ASAP so I'll get to have the 40% bonus and I'd just really like to have them as units. I haven't pulled from the Holy War banner yet, but I'm hoping that I get something good. Wish me luck ~

GOOD LUCK MAN! hope you get Sigurd of Deidre. Honestly as long as you have a budget/limit on purchasing orbs then it's fine.

Good luck! I'll be pulling from that banner too, bad thing I'm running out of orbs so I will need to grind to get the ones from the TT but anyway, hope you get the units you want!

As someone who started off free, then transitioned to $20 or $40 here or there, to now about $300/month, just be wary of the slippery slope.

And don't feel any shame, you're supporting a fantastic franchise (and will hopefully help them afford better writers for the next main series game :p)

+200 orbs spent, 5% appearance rate for focus units, and the only 5-star unit I got was Boey. I am very salty right now. :P Money down the drain. ._.

As someone who went down this path with both Elincia and Ninian recently, walk away from the poker table if it's not going your way. You can always come back another day. There's also a TT coming up where (hopefully) we might get some more free orbs.

One good habit I've found is even if I have a lot of orbs to only let myself do 1-2 summon sessions a day. That prevents the "addictive feeling" of opening orbs from ever coming into play.

I think that I will do just that. Seeing all my orbs/money go down the drain for an off-banner unit(one that I did not want) REALLY put a damper on my mood. I won't be spending any more money on this game for a long while.

Congrats, there is no shame to spend in this game so long as you take care of real life obligations first.

It is no different than spending money on any other hobby or entertainment really, or any toy, or expensive clothes, shoes, whatever.... it is what it is. lol.
