Seth builds - Make the Silver Knight feel special again!

Inspired by the previous 'poll' post I just wanted to create this
Fun ideas for what to do with the guy.

I'm not asking for specific advice, like 'what would work in this team'
Just go in Feh builder and see if you can work something fun out.

The man deserves justice, and if IS won't give it, we will.

Edit: This is what I came up with
A mixed tank. The main goal with it is to allow him one thing Sigurd can't: Take on dragons reliably.

I truly don't get what the big deal is when it comes to Seth. He's not game breaking, sure, but his stats are more than workable, and him being a sword unit gives him access to all the good stuff like Safeguard, Barrier Blade, and the usual Slaying Edge and Wo Dao.

Report

It's the fact that he's a fanfavortie from the GBH games, as character but mostly for the fact that he could solo his game (if you don't care about secondary objectives)

Report

That's kind of his problem, he's a bit of a jack of all trades stat-wise, so while he can be decent in many different builds, there's pretty much always someone who does that better.

I like Seth too, but haven't settled on how I want to build him because of that particular problem, so I haven't invested in him (been concentrating on builds I have settled on).

Report

But if you like him, and want to build him, then does it really matter if someone else can perform the same role better? He has decent speed and defense, the most obvious choice are either fast or slow physical tank, combine his stats with Safeguard's +7 defense and the +6 defense from Fortify Cavalry/Def Tactic, and you have a very solid tank, and that's not including the possibility of a Close Defense seal.

His res is also workable thanks to Barrier Blade. He probably can't counter mages as good as, let's say, Eliwood, but he's way more flexible if I recall.

Jack of all trades just adds to your flexibility.

Report

Well, If we compare him to Eliwood, he trades out the weapon and raw res for the option of having both high def and res.
Eilwood can be an amazing dragon/mage counter, but he fears anything physical.

I made a build above here. What would you change about it?

Report

The only thing I was really considering was changing the weapon to Barrier Blade for more resistance, and possibly the Special (for testing). After all, his two best weapons are Barrier and Safeguard.

Report

I will eventually, but being flexible in his build options means I should hone in on whatever hole needs to be filled (which is the problem, I don't really have one, where he will perform noticably better).
