Any tips on how to store orbs? I see everyone here saying that they're F2P and storing up to 200 orbs, like how do you stop yourself from summoning? For me, the game just gets so boring if I don't summon at least once a day

i just think of all the times i summon once or twice on a banner with like 20/40 orbs tops and get a bunch of 3 stars and ask myself if those times were really worth it.
i figure i'd have a better chance of getting at least something, maybe even a hero i want, if i focus 10 full summons on a banner i like than if i were to just summon here and there just because i get the itch to.

Before you summon, always remember why you save orbs. Think about the ones you store orbs for, not the ones on the current banners. Even if the thought of getting them may be intriguing, the desire for the hero/heroes you truly want should overcome your desire of summoning.

This. You need long-term goals and focus; you need a strategy to realize your goals and you to be rewarded for good summoning and feather-spending (and coin-and dew-spending) habits.
Take some time, sit down, figure out what you want out of the game. Reflect on it from time to time, and whether your goals are working for you. Feel free to come back and ask again if you feel like something's off. For example, I decided that I want to merge Felicia and Nowi to 5*+10, and I've started with giving Felicia all the skills (including QR3) and 2 merges, because I don't have any more copies. That felt rewarding, and I'm holding off on Nowi only for lack of steady breath fodder. I also figured out that I don't need to chase all these new units and cool skills that get introduced into the game, or even some things I want (ex: Y.Tiki) because the list of units I want in my roster (merged to +5 or higher) is already over 40, which is more than enough even for AA. I have teams and builds in mind, and I want to try my own ideas out. I'm going to spend my orbs and feathers on that. My orb strategy is clearly defined: I pull for DC and SB fodder for that roster of 40-ish units, I pull for L.Robin if she's not sharing colours on a 3% banner because I want to take her to +10, I pull blues and reds if I like my chances for the focus units (see my note below on units I find cool) because I'm also looking for IVs in those pools. There are some units I just find cool and would like to try out, such as Sigurd (crazy tank), Micaiah (really like her prf and maybe her personality - waiting to hear her lines), and W.Lissa (such a great unit, but I can't afford to invest in her for my A-teams because it costs too many orbs), so whenever I'm not focusing orbs on the purposes I mentioned above, or if one of these units shares a banner with someone I'm focusing on, I might try to pick up some of these along the way.
Once you sit down and map out your strategy, you might find that there's not actually that much going on in this game, and decide that you want to spend more time somewhere else and find more excitement there. I took some time today and found that it's possible for me to collect about 100k feathers a month using only the following:
Tier 18.5
Ranking 10k-20k in AA
Rival domains: 500/wk
Collecting daily 100+100+5+5+5
In TT, scoring 50k and winning 3500 HM off four heroes
In GC, getting all the tier rewards and being on teams controlling 10 areas average per battle
In VG, getting 8k feathers
Monthly quests
That doesn't add up to all that much time in a month, and I can complete a +10 in 2.5-3.5 months if I don't promote much else. I look forward to spending more time on other things I enjoy.

Whenever you have the urge to summon, just go and play a different game for a while, or watch a video. Or read a book. Just do anything to take your mind off of summoning.
When you come back to the game, just avoid the summoning menu. It takes a lot of self control, but it is worth it.
I limit myself to 1 5* a banner when I do decide to summon. Even that takes about 80 orbs. I just remember all the times where I thought
'My luck has been good so far. I'll just summon for 1 more 5*'
and then I spend 160 orbs to get one.

I have to admit that im pretty bad at self control. Only if the banners are uninteresting then i dont summon on them. But most of the times the banners are pretty interesting. I´ve never had 200 orbs in this game and im playing this game since one month after its beginning.
When Legendary Banner starts, i just summon with the orbs i get during that time. Most of the times i can summon 3-4 times, it depends on current events etc.
I think the secret is, that im actually pretty lucky. I mostly get 5 star units, sometimes the ones i want some other times not, but since i like most units of the game its no big deal.
I also summon everything all the time, i dont snipe for a particular color, beceause you can always get something else which can be useful too. Most units i get if we dont talk about legendary banners, are non focus 5 star units who are pretty good since IS has changed the rarity of most units.
So, i actually cant give you an advice how to save orbs. The only advice i gan give is, to just take what you can get. If you dont get the prefered unit you want, you maybe get another unit who is also on 5 stars and pretty useful too.

I know that feeling all too well.
When it comes to self control, I'm pretty bad at it myself. So I often urge myself to play other games that is just as equally as entertaining as Heroes.
For me, I often find myself playing one of my favorite JRPG that is also an MMO. Another game I play is Smash for Wii U and often play it with my friends online.
But in short, don't just limit yourself to just Heroes. Find some other games to play and come back to Heroes daily for Orbs and other goods.

Quite easy for me, i always ask myself questions like "do i like that character enought to spend those orbs?","will that character end up collecting dust in my barracs?","do i really need to summon that character?", based on the answers of those question is decide if i will summon or not.
Also my previous experience helped my keep my hands down from summoning as i spent around 500€ for this game last year, while this year a have yet to touch my bank account for this game (as a university student it isn't easy to gain money).

Well first of all, orbs comes kinda fast once you stop summonning everyday.
Like I had 0 orbs 1 month ago, I'm at 300 right now.
I used to summon everytime but then I never really got what I wanted, and on most banner I would not even get a 5* which is super frustrating.
The best wait to stop myself from summonning was to take a bit of distance from the game for a while.
For a few weeks I would just log in for the orbs and do a few quests and that was it.
Then when I came back really to the game, I had so many orbs it felt really
And I realized, summonning is kind of an addiction, but saving orbs also feels great because you know you have this power in your hand and you can just go all in the day there is something you REALLY want.
Also try not to get baited too hard. IS ALWAYS release new cool heros / skills and they tend to make you feel that you NEED them.
