Secrets to Auto’ing Brigade Content

I initially liked the new bug map modes and the variety they add, but I must say Grand Conquest very quickly burned me out on that.

I think Gamepress should release a guide on creating strong brigade builds for auto play (cough cough Gamepress).

In the meantime, what have you learned about successful brigades for auto? I’ve noticed the following:

-Mixed tank distant counter units are preferred

-Self sustain specials like Sol, Aether, etc very helpful

-Pain+, Savage Blow, AOE specials, and possibly gravity+ have increased prominence due to the unit crowding

-possibly same for dagger users in general - aoe debuffing, and Peshkatz have a lot of potential (though most dagger users are not sufficiently bulky)

-unlike in Arena defense, move assist skills are a big minus; too often my characters are repositioning and drawing back, which slows their map movement and makes the 10 turn limit difficult

-a strong flier team is advantageous to make it across maps

-wings of mercy is quite helpful for late entering units

-a mix of ranged and melee helps target fortresses/camps more efficiently

What have you noticed?

Units with Wrath and Aether make for a wonderful frontline. After a few turns my Black Knight is usually teleporting around the map with WoM3 and killing everyone until he gets nuked.

Savage Pain+ honestly seemed really nice, but due to the high chance of running into +10 units the chip damage doesn't really help. It's also risky considering it'll put a lot of foes into vantage range. The last thing I want to do is attack a Swordhardt in vantage range. I swapped out my Pain+ for Gravity+ instead and it works wonders.

Funnily enough, you have an issue with a large amount of draw back and reposition. I need more reposition on my friends. Swap usually leaves the one I'm trying to get out of range still in range.

My strategy is simple. In order:

Pick 20 friends with well built units.
Start the battle.
Press autoplay and confirm it.
Watch the enemy die while I eat a burrito.

I don't auto. I've been screwed by the auto battle AI too many times. It's just not worth it.

That being said, units with Wrath, Aether, and Steady/Warding Breath are excellent at self-sustaining, and a WoM dancer is pretty much mandatory.

auto is pretty easy for level 35 GC. but anything higher im forced to play regularly.

Galeforce units are soo good.
