Is this Ryoma redeemable?

My quest for Mia gave me another pity breaker in the form of Ryoma. Good thing that I didn't have him yet!

Unfortunately, he's -speed +def. Is there a way to salvage this?

(Update on the last two breakers: Training Sigurd right now, and gave my Elincia the extra Brave Lyn's Swift Sparrow)

I was in a similar situation. I pulled a Ryoma from the disgusting Ayra banner and got him as +HP -Def. So, I just made him a literal glass cannon and put and Life and Death on him. Fury isn't that great on Ryoma anyway and his defense isn't superb either so you're really not losing anything.

With Life and Death 3, not only does it patch up his speed bane, it also gives him an extra +2 in his speed. Make sure to have a Rally Speed/Hone Speed user on your team to maximize its use.

Also, Ryoma's attack will also go from 50 to 55 with Life and Death 3. With Dark Aura, his attack will go to 61. It will be 59 with Rally Attack/Hone Atk 3

Unfortunately, the two units with L&D in my roster are units I do not wish to get rid of if at all possible.

I got a spare Hinata from the same summon round. Would Fury be a good alternative?

You could always decide to focus him on countering ranged physical units instead of making him a constant frontliner, though even I'll say it's not ideal. His defense boon would help a lot, and could run some sort of defense boosting skill (Defence +3, Earth Boost, Defiant Defence, etc.) and vantage to really go for it.
