Roy's Time to shine

Hellooo everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day, Now to the question. Recently I summoned a 4* Roy in the Doorway to Destiny summons. (I want Lewyn but there wasnt a green in the summoning circle--Anyways!) His IVs were +Res -HP. I thought to myself, Hey! This is not bad. And i really wanted to set up a Roy build and i thought this is the best Im gonna get. So i 5*'ed him, Got him his binding blade and that's where i am currently... Im not sure how i wanna go about building him. I want him to be one of my main sword units but i have a feeling that it will require to give up some units that I've come to love. So! How about this? Let's work on an Arena build for this Roy. Don't be too shy on giving me a high investment to work for. I might make it happen in the long run.

Heya,

He pretty much has three different paths, all of which are focused on the enemy phase in order to abuse his weapon's QR and stance effect.

One goes for DC and whatever B-skill you have available, but mostly it's wrath.
The other goes for steady/warding breath or close defense as a "budget" option for melee dueling only.
The third one is a fury (budget) build, which just raises his stats a bit, but is worse in long-term survival.

The third mentioned build is meh, the second one is probably the best and the first one also works. Check his hero page and read the builds thoroughly, so that you can get more details....it helps.

I think i wanna go for the Breath Build. Im thinking Ikes warding breath because he barely seems viable to me anymore and i already have a Earth legendary hero, which is fell robin. So Imma do that. What else goes with a build with Warding Breath?

If you're going for arena, I recommend either guard or cancel affinity, depending on whether you want to duel bold fighters or TA+swordbreaker Nowi/Ninian (or the rare F.Corrin, who almost never uses that build). You'll see a lot more of the first type.

If he's on your lead team, use steady breath + aether + close def (or if you want to go for DC, you might change out aether, but that's your call). If he's for AA, you can use ignis/glacies with warding breath or bonfire/iceberg without a breath skill.

Here man use this build. I put in glacies instead of ignis since you have resistance boon.

Reposition - many units
Glacies - Fir or Felicia
Fury 3 - Hinata
Guard 3 - Titania(5 star)
Atk Smoke 3 - Kaze

Pretty much all at 4 star so its pretty budget
