Rival Domains and Blessed Gardens tonight?

If I had to bet I'd say yes

I personally think we'll get notice of the update at the start of the new in-game day (11:00 pm Pacific Time) and the update will be the next day. But I certainly wouldn't complain if it actually were "tonight" (it's 21:36 where I live, the reset here is at 8:00).

I think they'll be released the day of the New Heroes Banner, coming Friday morning, trailer coming TONIGHT!!!

I'm so ready to be screwed if it's a Fates banner with Anankos (Grima just came soooo), Arete, Kana, or Flora. As in, I'd need the characters but would have no orbs...

I think the new update will be packed with the New Heroes datamine so I'm guessing it will release tomorrow or exactly on Friday, since Rival Domains refresh every Saturday.

I don't think the new modes will come with the next update (new heroes). We should get some more hints at what those modes do before they drop.
