Ridiculously nitpicky Nino IV question

So I've got a 4*+9 Nino with a Fury/Desperation build and she is, as expected, a complete monster. Her IVs are +spd -def, which I like, because at the start of a battle she can generally take a single hit from an enemy mage and KO them on the counter attack. (Bonus: She's now in desperation range after one battle.) But I'm sitting on my last extra 4* Nino, and she's +spd -hp. Which IV set is actually better? (I realize they're practically identical as far as Nino's concerned, I told you this question was nitpicky.) This site recommends hp as the ideal bane to help her survive doubles, but, um, she has 46 speed, 50 with a hone, who the heck is doubling her? Units with brave weapons or G Tomebreaker, or the rare unit with QR who she somehow can't ORKO? In all cases my choice would be to just keep her the heck away, not have her try to tank it. Is there a real case when having the extra def would be better? Can someone please explain?

Keep the IVs you have, -Def is her best bane, I never understood why anyone would say it's -HP. Her defense is weak anyway and keeping her HP neutral makes it easier to fight mages and, if you use a -HP one, her physical damage soak is still going to be the same even if you keep her defense neutral.

The only reason I could come up with for an HP bane is that it would be theorically easier to activate Desperation, but that's a very silly reason, her HP is already low enough so that most of the time she gets in Desperation range after one fight if she uses Fury. Maybe now it would be a little better in very specific cases since refined breaths attack the weakest defense of ranged targets.

I believe Nimious Plays uses -HP on his 5*+8 or so Nino. That puts her at 24 Def and 34 Res, which he pairs with Distant Defense on her, allowing her to bait both BLyn and Rein out.

What does it matter exactly? Her remaining HP would be the same with a -Def bane against Brave Lyn. And it's not like she can reach the defense to nullify Brave Lyn's damage, unless she's running a Gronnraven +TA build which seems silly to me, and most people are gonna want the optimal IVs for the standard blade build, not that one.

Yeah, my Nino can actually survive Brave Lyn's default build as she is (just barely, but she does). If Lyn's running a brave bow, she dies even with -hp and a distant def seal, Lyn just doesn't care lol.

The only thing is, a bane in HP is essentially the same as a bane in Defense AND Res, assuming one hit is taken for the match, so an HP bane will only be better than a Defense bane against B!Lyn if she is running a Brave bow, in which case you wont be able to bait her anyways. With that in mind, you are better off keeping that extra 3 HP to survive Rein.

+Spd-Def is better, especially if you want her to counter the Reinhardt, and some others slow red mage.

I think I remember from somewhere that -def is necessary for desperation setup for lnd nino
