I realized that in forging bonds, Owain says Sacred Stones and Radiant Dawn. Is that something he says in Awakening too or did IS decide to put an easter egg in this game only, since I never played awakening.

Owain says a lot of weird things, it could be Easter eggs, or it could just be Owain.

Well, it's vauge if Jugdral is in the same world as Archenea (Shadow dragon, Echoes and awakening) but there hints I believe.

Probably fitting that Owain named his sword after it, since Mystletainn is described as a demon sword.

I feel that it's fitting (based on the missiletain discussion above) to share this dialogue quote, when Owain gets the sword. It kind of shows his whole referential/meta trait that he has...he's just great.

Villager: You're a kind soul to fight for strangers so. Here, you must take this.

Owain: By the ghost of Ike! I've found it at last! The fated mate to my sword hand! ...The divine blade, Mystletainn!

Villager: Er, I'm afraid this is a blade of extremely common make, sir. I was using it to dig a well, but I figured you might--

Owain: Come, Mystletainn! Destiny beckons!

Villager: I also used it to cut small vegetables before it got dull. ...Er, hello?

On the above topic of Owain's sword, it should be noted that he (Owain) misspelled the weapon when compared to Eldigan's. Probably cause he's probably just spouting off random stuff half the time. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Now, if only I could summon him...
