Really strange Nino build

So I encountered this Nino in the arena, and I'm...really confused? Like, they tried to make her into an anti-meta unit, but wouldn't either the F!Robin or Rhajat they sacrificed for this have been a better choice? It's like they tried to make her counter Brave Lyn and still keep her nuking potential. (Also they forged her weapon for def of all things.)

Probably a joke build or a meme build, no player js going to invest that much into a +Def refined Keen Gronnwolf.

Just because it's not optimal doesn't mean it's a joke/meme build. People invest in units they like. People invest in Henry and give him Close Counter along with a crap-ton of Defense, resistance, and have him counter with Vantage.

Probably going for a mixed tank-ish build since Distant Defense 3 is in the S slot, along with defense-refined Wolf tome, then nuke, like usual, with Desperation.

Probably not as effective as Bladetome Nino, but they were probably trying something different considering 90% of Nino's out there are bladetome.

I’ll be the first to say that while I appreciate a hodgepodge build, there’s a reason 90%+ of Ninos are bladetome users. Why would someone sacrifice a 98% victory rate to counter meta units when in turn Nino could actually lose or draw to units like Nowi and Effie? Nowi is more meta than any horse unit. This week alone only 1 arena team I’ve faced has not had Nowi on their team, which is why I have ran Julia in my offense team.

Well, to be fair, if they wanted an anti-cavalry green mage and they already had a +5 Nino... That's a lot less investment than starting over with F!Robin or Rhajat.
