Really! Roy isn't my boy no more

So I did a free summon on the new farfetched heroes banner and of course I got a Roy which I needed another one because my first Roy is +Spd/-Atk but then guess what uggh I get a even worse IV +HP/-Spd

Guys help me out what can I do with them beside pass down TA3 to my unit unless that is the only way for now. Recommend build would be fine to fix them. Thank you

You can hope for a better IV 4* Roy and then promote him and merge them, but even that wouldn't really be worth it, because Roy even with a good IV is not even near many other swordsmen unless you invest heavily into hím. So if you already have many other swords you can use then I'd say that you cam just bench him now and decide his fate later. I honestly hope that he gets a decent possible upgrade for his weapon with the weapon forge thing, because right now there is almost no reason to use Roy.

I can think of a couple of builds that could work, if you're determined to use them. Just give me a few minutes to write them down. ^^

Please be warned though, overly balanced characters like Roy, Robin, Palla, etc SERIOUSLY suffer from bad IVs.

Alright, here's what I've got. It's a bit of a lengthy read (sorry!), but I hope it helps!

Roy, +HP -Spd:

TA+Swordbreaker seems like a good option for this one, and is very budget-friendly. His HP is also good enough to use the Panic Ploy seal, which is very useful for disabling bladetomes and horse/armor/flier buffs.

Since none of his stats are a real standout, I'd stick with Moonbow/Luna for his special. Iceberg could probably work too, if that's what's available to you.

Fierce Stance, Steady Stance, and Close Defense are all great options too, and will remain great options if/when you get a Roy with a better IV to merge into. Trouble is, those are all rare skills native to units that are far better than Roy. :(

Roy, +Spd -Atk:

+Spd is pretty good, and should hopefully help compensate some for that nasty base 26 attack. Some.

I can't think of any practical way to repair his attack without going with Life & Death or Death Blow, both of which contradict his weapon's effect... which is a bummer.

Still, Life and Death 2 should work pretty well (I don't recommend investing in LnD 3 for him). That'll repair his Atk up to base 30, which is more workable, and boost his decent 34 spd up to a really nice 38.

For B passives, go with whatever floats your boat or fits your budget. Desperation is the natural choice, but never underestimate the usefulness of Escape Route or Wings of Mercy. Escape Route is especially budget friendly, since it's available from 4* Cecilia.

For Special, you DEFINITELY want to go with Moonbow/Luna for this guy. Life & Death will make Iceberg pretty pathetic.

That's all I've got. Once again, I hope this helps... and good luck! :)
