Not many units would take him on in melee combat and live to tell the tale. But using fury hurts his usefulness outside of a one and done map (his viability for survival in TT and CC maps is almost nonexistent, as even one minor slip up would probably kill him in the later stages unless you run a healer with him). Overall, I have to break the rating into 2 categories.

For one and done maps, 5/5, a brick wall with some dynamite power that can make any AI unit look foolish for fighting him (outside of ranged units).

For longer, endurance based maps, 3/5, because although he hits hard, he almost requires help from other units to stay alive long term due to fury slowly draining him. Any unit in later stages that can take his hits and deal damage back will likely kill him unless he has consistent healing.

Between those he is easily a 4/5, probably a 4.5/5

If I use him on more than one map in a row, I usually do run a healer. Official or not so much of one. Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep all of this in mind. Also, I've found his only real weakness is powerful blue tomes, and high attack archers. Luckily not too perfect I guess.

I was thinking that as well, and unfortunately there is no easy way to have him avoid being blasted to pieces by a Delthea or a charged up Brave Lyn, so DC wouldn’t do much good. But against anything else, even dragons, he would laugh at them and then backhand them. Although since you’re already working on him, you might as well feed him a merge and push that HP and SPD up a tick.

I run Vantage which is very nice as well. If his Special was charged he can activate it twice during one Encounter. I sticked to Close def for A and Speed seal
