Rate my Fjorm Team

I’m having a hard time team building around Fjorm for the next Arena season.

How does this team look? Most of my builds are budget F2P skills.

Fjorm (neutral) ice mirror set with QR seal.

Overdrive Marth (-HP +Speed) Fury cleric support with drive defense 2 seal.

Micaiah (-Attack +Speed) default set with Vantage and iceberg

Myrrh (-Attack +Res) default set with QR 2, Hone Attack 3, and Close Defense Seal.

I tested this team and green mages and archers pose a big threat. What kind of teammates can I use with Marth and Fjorm to Counter the majority of the meta?

Any team suggestions or improvements would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I think you just need a reliable nuker. Everyone you have listed is great the only reason I think you might be struggling is due to the inability to reliability wipe out units on the player-phase.

I always recommend Cordelia for offense, she's just such a powerhouse even with a bad IV. Mine back at launch was -Spd/+Res and I didn't even check her IVs until after the spring banner. If you have her available I'd sub out Micaiah since Fjorm already works well as a mage tank.

EDIT: I realized that I didn't address the issue with green mages or archers. I don't see archers as an issue as outside Lyn you won't be seeing any really. Green mages however may give some issues, but I don't see them being as tough to work around as a tanky mixed phase armor.

Micaiah was there to check Reinhardt and Brave Lyn, but here is my Cordelia right now.

It’s a 4 star +8 merged so far with -Hp +Speed Iv’s. What kind of seal should I use? Heavy blade 3?

Also, Micaiah was there to check Brave Lyn and Reinhardt.

I'm not sure Micaiah has the ability to reliability check those two, have you been able to successfully survive them with her?

Your Cordelia looks fine, just needs a 5* weapon. Again, she's an offensive powerhouse so I'd recommend Firesweep or her classic Brave Lance. To be honest I've never seen her as a 4*+x unit.

Yes. I have had Reinhardt get taken out by Micaiah as long as he doesn't have Chill Res or Horse buffs and she usually takes out Lyn with Vantage and Iceberg.

Thanks for the feedback on my Cordelia. I appreciate it!

Nice! Tana is pretty much the same person at 5*exclusively, anything said about Cordelia can be said about Tana.

You'd lose out your Rein/Lyn counters but if you're at tier 19/20 range like me you never see them. One or the other at high merge slip in on the occasion but they're not half as menacing as real synergetic teams at tier 19/20.

The only thing I have to worry about is Halloween Jakob, but I should be fine otherwise.

Thanks for complimenting my Tana! She's been very useful ever since the she was first released! She has a Water Blessing too! When I use Fjorm during Water Season, that extra speed will be very useful for utilizing firesweep+.

My Myrrh also has Goad Fliers too. Should I run that for Tana or just stick with Hone Attack 3 for the whole team?

Report

With Firesweep Jacob will be no issue. Whatever she doesn't kill you can have someone swing in with Guidance and Reposition her out, though this assumes Hit and Run is being run on the B.

Tana is such an awesome unit. Even though I have an optimal Cordelia I really want to pull her someday. You have tons of flexibility for her builds plus since she already has Guidance you can run whatever seal you want!

That last one is a tough call. Personally I'd run Myrrh with Hone and Guidance Seal so both her and Tana could split up pulling Marth/Fjorm with them to split the enemies units and be able regroup to make 4v2 matchups. On the other hand though with Goad all 3 of your allies could pump stats into Tana and make her hit harder and faster than any unit in her path. Tough call.

If you’re not in T19, I’d say that squad should move you up. Otherwise, I would say your shot of getting to T20 with that team is almost nonexistent. But one glaring weakness I see here is against the typical Brave Lyn/Reinhardt Combo everyone and their mother seems to enjoy at lower arena levels. Patch that up and you have a decent team, preferably with a strong and able 4th member. Also, your blessings are just really scatterbrained. You need to go full water in case next season is a water season. It can boost your scoring by a great deal.

I don’t really care about Tier 20 at all as a F2P player. It’s too much of a hassle. Micaiah is there to check Brave Lyn and Reinhardt.

Report

Yeah, until Brave Lyn catches her in enemy phase. Then it’s game over.

And trust me, T20 is the farthest thing from a hassle. If it was water season, I’d be staying T20 this week because I can break 5000 without water blessings as a F2P player. But being T19.5 is extremely lucrative for your feather count.

If you don’t care about moving up, why would you bother asking about your team? At that point, do what you think feels right since you aren’t playing competitively.

Report

I do play competitively, but I just don't really care enough about tier 20.

As for Micaiah, she can survive a +10 Mulagir Lyn with horse buffs. If it's Brave Bow or Firesweep, I just attack her on the player phase.

As for why I like to post team to get feedback, I like to do it every so often and also I sometimes have trouble coming up with the right team composition when I don't have a lot of Bonus Units to use.
