I tried building a Chrom... and I would like to have a second opinion and see what someone else would think. Any thoughts?

He needs urgently a QUICK REPOSTE. Change the seal Speed +3, its pretty useless since 31 (for me) its pretty low. He will still being doubled. I would use Quick Riposte instead, since he can activate his special skills in all battles when enemies attack you and doubles you (or even if not, im not sure).

Also, his speed isn't really the focus, as his attack is supposed to be as high as possible for wrathful specials. Quick Riposte could work really well, so I'm still going to try it out.

If going QR as said above, I would change Brazen Atk/Spd to Brazen Atk/Def.

Unless you are going for a longer-term merge project and you are including a teammate with some sort of speed-boosting abilities, 43 speed (31+7+5) isn't hard to beat. If you max-merge him and give him, say, a hone speed boost, that goes up to (31+4+4+7+5) 51 speed, which is pretty decent. You can boost that even more by running SS, Speed Tactic and Chill Speed on another teammate, which makes it an effective 62 speed. If you wanna go with a speedy Chrom.

I'm thinking to +10 Chrom, and put him on an Ylisse themed team with Brave Lucina, I'm pretty sure that would suffice. And I'll also be running another unit with Rally ATK/SPD.

Well I should clean up all this fake information Ive created. So it doesn't confuse any one. I apologise for The mayhem and confusion, it could of sparked a pointless argument 😕

This is my current Chrom, I've decided to go for steady breath mainly because I had a free B!Ike at the time. I went with -hp +spd for the super boon and the patching of his speed which brings it to acceptable levels at base speed. It gets boosted like crazy with some team support and depending on the build you run. If you're opting for a fury build, sealed falchion fits a lot better and provides more buffs after first combat or ardent sacrifice. I would keep quick riposte on both builds just because it helps him secure the double. While aether may seem contradictive to the fury build at first, remember you take recoil after, so you constantly remain at under 100% HP while keeping pretty healthy so don't sweat the conflicting build. I hope this helps as this is what I'm opting for with +10 Chrom ;)

This is the other chrom I run, its more of an accessible and sweep kind of build. Doesn't need heavy skill inheritance, because technically all the skills aren't 5 star exclusive. Spd Smoke can be gotten from fallen takumi.
