While I am a bit mad at how many pity breakers I pulled, I have to say that most of said units are ones I never managed to get. Not counting my free 5-star Tailtiu(she's fodder for Summer Corrin), the 5-stars(ones I never had are marked with ! ) I pulled are:
Leo - Res+/HP- !
Lilina - Spd+/Res-
Zelgius - 1st HP+/Atk-, 2nd Def+/Res- !
Ephraim - HP+/Def- !
Sakura - HP+/Spd- (might fodder her for Fear+)
Sothe - HP+/Def- !
Micaiah - 1st Res+/Def-, 2nd Spd+/Res- !
Seliph - Spd+/Atk- (might merge or send home)
Elincia - Spd+/Atk- !
With the second Zelgius being the very last summon I do on this banner to save for the anniversary, this leads to my question; which versions of Zelgius and Micaiah is the better one? I'll probably merge them depending on the results.
Honest opinions are greatly appreciated.
Congrats for the pulls! If I were you, I would pick the 1st Micaiah with +Res -Def because she is a great magic tank and the boon in Res gives her the ability to tank powerful mages in the metagame having 41 Res. About Zelgius, I would pick the 2nd one without question.
Should I merge them then? At least I can have them be stronger from it rather than occupy space in my barracks. Sure Zelgius' Fierce Stance and Panic Ploy are very desirable, but since Dorcas(FS), Luke and Valter(PP) also has it and we have the Panic Ploy seal there's no need right? Same goes for Micaiah since Rhajat and Celica are somewhere with Distant Defense, Leon and Titania have Guard, and Fjorm has Drive Atk.
Think very carefully before you merge. Except for Leon and Titania (and Valter since I hear his GHB is coming back), all the units you mention are extremely rare, and there's no guarantee you'd get them easily if you found yourself needing their skills in the future. Unless you have extra copies of all those units lying around already, personally I wouldn't be too eager to merge away an extra Micaiah and Zelgius. Now, if you currently have zero plans to build any units with those skills and you're not someone who likes to leave extra heroes sitting around "just in case", then yeah, you can merge if you want to, but remember the 5* pool is STACKED right now, so your odds of summoning any of these people without them showing up again in a focus are very, very small. Know what you're giving up before you merge.
I actually have a spare Rhajat and two spare Fjorms, so Micaiah will be merged.
As for Zelgius, I might consider holding for now. If anyone is getting demoted though, it might/should/will be him. Sure he has a full skill set unlike his Black Knight form, but that also had a 4-star version with two of his best skills locked behind promotion.
His Resistance is pretty much what his Tempest Trial counterpart has, am I right? I'll also keep Lilina in mind, though they say her speed isn't too good I'll look into it again.
Should I merge my first into the second then? Dorcas and Luke are out there in the summoning pool so I won't have any need to just keep the first Zelgius for skill purposes.
