Quick Riposte, or Vantage for BK B slot?

Is Vantage or Quick Riposte better for Black Knight's B slot?

Thanks

FWIW, the build I've been using is Fury 3/Vantage 3/Ward Armor (for Hector)/Distant Counter seal, and that's gotten me 11 defensive wins this week.

Did you know that your defensive team is weighted like your offense team? Your scores are all less than 250, which is not good since you're in tier 17. You increase your defense team's score the same way, so you want all lvl 40, high merge, heavy units + bonus unit.

But if you're just doing it for fun, and you don't care about your rank/feathers/orb, then have at it!

I would say vantage on a DC unit tends to be more of a pain to kill and can lead to situations where a deathless streak is guaranteed to end, especially with their special charged.

Funny thing actually, every BK I have ran into in Arena with Vantage ends up being in Vantage range when he has 1 CD left on Black Luna, which means he messes up his own CD count by attacking first and let’s me basically kill them for free with a double.

I would 100% recommend running QP with his Vantage set for Arena Defence lmao.

Consider this:

Black Knight with Fury 3, Hector w/ Goad Cavalry, and Lancina putting him at 47 speed.

No Quick Riposte needed. :D P.S. please don't copy this oh god I don't want to have to deal with my own self-created nightmare on the Ship level.

Ignore the the Iron Sword haha.

This works really nice for me (I mainly decided on it for the 40 extra SP cost for Arena). Threaten Speed is a budget option but it surprisingly helps out quite a bit, I would replace it with Armour March, Panic Ploy, or Attack Smoke. Threaten Attack is also fine.

I basically just throw him on a Defensive Tile to clean up everything that’s not blue or Brave Lyn.

However, I also have Vantage on him and I find that it’s a little more situational to use than QR but it helps to keep him relevant after he takes a big chunck of damage (which is everytime he tanks a green mage), unlike QR which does nothing afterwards.

It depends on whether you want him stronger at the start or later.

In general, armor units are better with vantage. If your unit hits hard, vantage is also better. In general vantage is not only cheaper, but better overall. Strong units without vantage is not a real problem to deal with.
Wrath, QR, and other builds have their place and are also solid as well, but if you dont want to deal with situational or switching back and forth, vantage overall is much better.

They're both incredible.

QR + The low CD on Black Luna means your almost guaranteed the kill in your first initiation
By the same token, vantage + the raw power of Black Luna can very often guarantee that nothing but a dragon or a tank with a charged ignis can deal with him late in the battle.

The thing is, his speed stat is obscene. While this doesn't guarantee a double it feels like a waste to put QR on him since he already doubles so many.
That tips the scales for me. I would rather give him a pure increase to utility than give him a skill that will do nothing against many, many matchups.

QR is only good for a single fight before your heath total dips too low, and it might not even be good for that fight since your speed might let you double anyway. That said, you're nearly guaranteed to win that fight.
Vantage will occasionally be wasted due to the attack order cheating you out of a use of Black Luna but it will almost always net you at least one hit you wouldn't otherwise have gotten and can win matchups if he's the last one standing and everyone else is weak enough.
