Assuming his Special is Black Luna and Assist is Swap, along with those skills provided above, this really does make Zelgius a literal Red Hector, but much better with the introduction of Quick Riposte seal.
Even if he didn't come with an optimal set of IV's, that looks closer to being optimal since he's got pretty high Def and his Res is just as low as his alter ego, Black Knight. So the matchup wouldn't really matter at that point.
I'd rate this: 4.5/5
While Fierce Stance is good, it does not grant him the boosted Attack during Player Phase. Though, as a generalist build, Zelgius appreciates having Steady Breath to accelerate triggering Black Luna.
Bold Fighter, along with Steady Breath, would turn him into an amazing Mixed Phase unit and he'll trigger Black Luna no matter the situation. So long as he's facing the right units that is.
Vantage+Quick Riposte is a powerful combination, originally exclusive to Hector, it now turns anyone with Distant Counter weapon/skill into a powerful retaliating monster. With that Fierce Stance equipped, it does give Zelgius additional firepower he needs KO his opponent in a clutch moment.
Regarding to C Slot, Panic Ploy is an amazing skill that shouldn't really be replaced, even in Armored Emblem teams, since it's likely you'll have 2 or 3 other Armored units armed with them anyway. So there is your missing 0.5 score. Ward Armor and Threaten Def skills are not bad by any means, but without any means to suppress opposing team's buffs, it can be difficult to tank them, especially if one or two of them are Bladetome users.
