A question about H!Jakob

On the last legendary banner, I pulled a +Def -Hp H!Jakob which I plan to use on my armor emblem. With Hardin coming on the next Legendary banner, I can hopefully summon him and finally give Jakob Bold fighter. The question I have, though, is what weapon to give him. I could give him Brave bow for the quads, or I could give him firesweep for the slightly higher damage and the inability to be countered. I would probably give him firesweep no question just for the fact that I'd save feathers, but there's a couple other things that make me hesitant. My only Faye has a bit of investment, I gave her Guard bow, Distant defense, and I refined it. However, even with this, I never use her so she kinda just takes up space. Another thing is that Firesweep would make his Defense boon basically pointless since he wouldn't have to really take hits anyway. I'm not too concerned about enemy phase though, because Brave bow is basically useless there anyway. Anyway, what should I do?

I'd advise strongly against sacking Faye, as you've made quite the investment on her. Plus, she can still see some use as a pinch hitter in Squad/Arena Assault. Just bank on getting Bold Fighter and saddle H!Jakob up with Brave Bow+/Death Blow.

Jacob does surprising well as a player phase armor unit, id go for brave bow quads, with quicken pulse bonfire combo, most units cant survive that unless there at arden's def level, for that switch to moonbow/luna instead.

In my opinion, even if you were okay with sacking Faye, Firesweep Bow could be better utilized on a different unit. Definitely go with Brave Bow+

Not a hugely experienced player and don't use my H.Jakob much (I think I have +def -res or something like that), but I definitely lean towards quad+luna in case their def is really solid. Better not to use up your turn and they're still sitting there in vantage/desperation/WoM range etc. If that's what you want, windsweep/watersweep daggers with stacked savage blow or dazzling pain+ will splash them all for you and maybe add debuffs for the same one turn. Plus, be afraid of taking a hit with mixed defenses like his? They're good enough for a vengeful+close counter build.

If you go QP then luna activates on the first of the double taps; if they survive and retaliate (ex: most DC units) they'll get another one. Each should be good for 15-20 damage; the lower the luna damage, the higher your regular damage. The only thing I can think might be an issue is steady breath + bonfire/ignis on 40+ def...but he might be able to tank even that, especially with armor buffs.

As for Faye, maybe find some teammates for her who would really appreciate her ability to take care of some ranged threats before they move in?

Actually it depends on your playstyle though, for me with that IV's you can go with mixed phase or enemy phase. so guard bow for me, but if you like player phase just give him Brave Bow coz he's a player phase monster even with neutral atk

For arena i go with mixed phase coz seeing people do 0 damage to him is fun lol, but for GHB i usually go with brave bow set coz he can easily kill a lot of unit with that even GHB unit
