PSA: Found the solution to the "Wrong Thumbnail" problem

Update: The site staff already know apparently and they've been working on a fix, its a sitewide issue, not just with the feh part.

So here's whats up, fairly consistently people have been uploading pictures and having the thumbnail be wrong while the full picture is right. I figured out why this happens and how to fix it, which ill demonstrate further down in this thread.

The text explanation is that the server caches images, and when another file with the same name is uploaded, the server fetches the cached image's thumbnail and uses it in place of the actual pictures own thumbnail, resulting in pictures that are misrepresented. This picture in the OP is a theoretical goblin slayer build, now, what i'm gonna do is after this one is uploaded, im gonna take another entirely different picture and name it the same and upload it, and the thumbnail will be the goblin slayer one, while the actual picture will be different.

It worked exactly as it should have, click the picture and it aint the same as the OP.

Edit: Oh, thats a situation I didnt expect, it still worked, but even so.

I get an image with a text box splattered over the majority of it.

Anyways, good work figuring out when it triggers. For now I think we just make a note whenever we notice the glitch so people know to click the image if they want to see the correct one?

Thats the best we can do for now. When I told GP Nick on the discord server he said they already know about the issue but havent found a solution for it yet. He also said that sometime soon they're planning on adding Stickies/Pinned messages to the QA forums, so thats something that could be added to a future update if they can't fix it by the time pins come around.
