PSA: Don't give Bridal Tharja Raorblade.

Or do, I'm not the boss of you. ;) But if you're considering giving her Raorblade, please hear this case for keeping her PRF tome first.

Her base offensive stats with neutral IVs are 35/35, which is already amazing. Muspell Fireposy has a built-in speed bonus and a modified owl effect, which has incredible synergy with Attack/Speed Bond, and can allow her to reach some truly ridiculous numbers. On her own, before other skills or buffs or seals, her numbers are 49/38 (add 3 to one of those numbers if she has an atk or spd boon). With attack/speed bond and one adjacent ally, she reaches 56/45. Now give that ally drive attack and ally support. When they're next to each other, Bridal Tharja reaches 61/47 in her offensive stats, or 55/41 if they're one space apart. This is still before IVs, seals, or other buffs from nearby allies, and unlike Raorblade it's completely immune to panic ploy. Now picture her with Glimmer, Draconic Aura, or Dragon Fang and the Heavy Blade seal. You're welcome.

...But Desperation + Bladetome...

And getting Panic'd doesn't happen very often outside of Arena, and avoid it is pretty easy, at least in my experience. But I do see where you're coming from.

You can still use Desperation with this build if you want. (And honestly I probably will, Speed Feint seems too niche to me.) Don't get me wrong, I get the appeal of the blade tome, but if you want a red blade mage I'd actually still go with regular Tharja, since she's easier to get to high merge levels and with the right IVs, plus she doesn't have Muspell Fireposy as an option. But obviously it's up to you, sometimes the call of the blade tome is just too strong. ;)

Yeah, I was actually thinking the exact same thing when I saw B!Tharja's speed. People actually pulling for her to make her into a Bladetome.. when regular Tharja can do the same thing.

I get the reason why people do it, but I will agree that not every mage has to be a Bladetome unit.

I'm with you. I don't even use a red blade tome unit, but the last thing I need is another blade tome user. Blade tomes are usually overkill to begin with. I honestly like the idea of having a mage that brings more to the table than just high damage. One of my favorite mage units right now is Spring Sharena and her default tome. I'm looking forward to exploring what Tharja is able to do!

New mechanics interest me far more than just another sweeper.

I think the same logic applies for Bride Sanaki as well. I just finish leveling my +10 B! Sanaki and she sits at 60 attacks without stat boost skill on A slot. I put her in a team with Kinshi Hinoka, Camilla and L!Robin and she reaches 100 attacks in combat.
base: 60
death blow: +6
fully stack weapon passive: +6
2 Goad flyer buff: +8
hone flyer buff : +6
Hinoka prf buff: +3
Camilla prf buff: +3
ally's drive attack seal : +3
attack seal : +3
summoner support : +2
60+6+6+8+6+3+3+3+3+2= 100
She kills everything with 100 attack, imo bladetome is an overkill and lower her scoring potiential.

Daaaaamn. It's funny, I wasn't fortunate enough to pull Sanaki myself, so I hadn't spent as much time thinking about her, but if you'd asked me I would've guessed it was a bit more of a toss-up for her whether to run Gronnblade, since she has access to flier buffs. But of course, flier buffs can be goads as well as hones, and with Camilla's and Hinoka's buffs on top of that...Yeah, you've convinced me. ;)

I agree immensely!

Tharja weapon is too much strong and you already have a lot of options to Bladetome(like the other Tharja) and no fear of Panic skill/weapons =P
