Pronunciation guide

Some of these character's names/weapons can be kind of difficult to pronounce based simply on their spelling. For example, I always pronounced Falchion as "Fal-chee-on". However, now based on playing Fire Emblem Echoes, I know it's pronounced "Fawl-chun". Curious if anyone knows any other correct pronunciations for certain names/weapons? Some I'm curious about are:

- Armads ("mads" or "mawds"?)
- Eckesachs (Eck-eh-sax, or Eck-eh-shax?)
- Brynhildr (Bryn-Hild-R, or Bryn-Hild (silent R?))
- Hauteclere (Hot-Eh-Clare?)
- Fensalir (Fens-a-lyer, or Fens-a-leer?)

Just pure curiosity! Thanks!

Honestly I've no clue but for several I know its based of nordic words and you could likley find some of the words for them there. ^^

I'm not sure about the others, but I do know that Brynhildr is pronounced Brine-Hild. Leo says it when you tap on him in his info screen.

I call Eckesachs "Eggsacks" because I have no idea about how to say it.

Haha I don't know, but I pronounce them WAY wrong. Like, I pronounced falchion like falcon, the bird, up until I played shadows of valentia (which I still pronounce as valen see ah).

Ar-maads, eck-sacks, brin-hill-deer, haunt-tic-cler, and fence-sil-lar. I don't know why. I also pronounce reciprocal aid as res-sip-pro-sickal. I know how to pronounce reciprocal, so I don't know why I struggle so much with it.

How to pronounce PoR names was a big conflict in my house for a long time. Is it tit-tan-yuh, or tie-tain-knee-ah? I swore it was mar-see-ah, lue-see-ah, and ee-lyn-see-ah, where my sister said mar-she-uh, lue-she-uh and ee-lyn-she-uh.

I pronounce Takumi like taco-man, my brother pronounces it taco-bell. We're just all over the place.

- Armads comes from "Almace", one of the swords created alongside Durandal. Considering it's Norse, I'd bet it's pronounced "Ar-mawds".
- Eckesachs is simply "Eck-sax". The second E is silent
- Brynhildr is "Bryn-hild", some people pronounce the R, but it's usually silent
- Hauteclair is French, so it's "Oot-Clair". Like a ghost saying "Ooo" and adding a T at the end, then saying Clair.
- Fensalir is "Fen-sa-leer"

At least I hope I'm correct in some of these. I'm not sure about Eckesachs tho.

Well, the ones coming from norse myth will be pronounced as such.
So fensalir would be fens-lir, noatun would be noa-than, and brynhildr would be brin-hildr.
Hauteclere is french i believe, so something like jo-te-cler?
Aside from those, no idea, i always pronounced falchion as fal-shi-on.
