Possible Nephenee build?

Just for some quick context, I'm *mostly* F2P... I toss in a few bucks every once in a while, so I've got a good many mid-level skills to inherit, but the true premium stuff might be hard to come by. I tend to hover around tier 18-19, but I'm not super competitive. I just enjoy building things that are effective but a little quirky or unconventional.

Has anyone experimented with a Stance-based counter-punch build for Nephenee? The aim would be to take a hit that puts her into Wrath range, then go to town in the following player phase. Starting with her weapon refine and the Darting Stance seal, I could also put a Stance skill in her A slot with the hope of eventually getting my hands on the corresponding Breath skill (Steady? Fierce?). I also have a few Wave skills that can go in the C slot, timed to be active in the turn where she moves in to bait the enemy.

She'll likely have ally support + Infantry Pulse from Dorcas, but the other two team spots are TBD. Probably a dancer and/or buffer (Marth?)

Thoughts?

If you are planning on taking a hit on enemy phase then going to town on player phase, sounds like a threaten or smoke skill for the C Slot would work.

Steady breath is really good on her since a lot of her damage (outside effective armor damage) comes from her Wrath-boosted specials. But brazen skills synergize well with wrath as well. I run her with Brazen Atk/Def to boost Ignis or Bonfire and increase her survivability since she'll be down some hp.

Yeah, I have my Donnel set up with the Brazen Atk/Def + Bonfire combo (Slaying Lance +Def) and it works great with him.

I'm currently experimenting with my units of the same type to differentiate their builds and give each a clear role. Anyone who's redundant will eventually be fodder. In this case, it's Nephenee/Donnel/BLucina/Fjorm... Plus I just pulled an Ephraim last night. I know some people's first thought would be "Wrath fodder", but nah. I like her.

Edit: I already have Threaten Def on her, so that works out. I personally find that Smokes work better on DC or ranged units, but that's just preference.

It's a not denying the raw functionality of Steady Breath + Aether, but take this into consideration...

I don't find she'll make full use of her advantages (being fast and tanky) unless she's +Spd and uses that for a double-phased approach. Being solely enemy phase means leaving her vulnerable to Bold Fighter- and yes, this also means a lot of bulky Green dudes whom will likely kill her. Not to mention, she will heal little to nothing off of a high cooldown special like Aether (which only real purpose is mostly Arena scoring).

Why not just build Lukas, at that point? He'll tank every physical enemy harder. If she has the Spd for it, she may as well use that advantage to mix it up.

When it comes to Nephenee, I personally don't think people really use her to her full advantage. She's fast and tanky, but people basically make her into a faster Lukas and just staple Steady Breath + Aether on her. The thing about this, is that virtually any unit makes use of that build. It also means that the lack of Guard makes her succeptible to stuff like Bold Fighter, which somewhat defeats the purpose at times...not to mention, the lack of any Spd-boosting A-slot kind of demands her to run stuff like QR on her Seal slot, thereby potentially sacrificing something that could very well be a Close Def (something Lukas might not need at that point).

For her, simple just kind of works. Remember when I said she's fast and tanky? This means it's really good that she's capable of doubling in either phase.

This one is simple, and it's my staple for a lot of fast and tanky units:

Nothing wrong with simple, especially when you aren't working on you main team. And I agree with the premise of playing to her strengths.

BTW, after shuffling my teams around, she ended up on a mixed Tactics team alongside Eirika, Gunnthra, and Ares. So, she'll likely be buffed out the wazoo and be slingshotted forward alongside Ares.
