Points needed to get into tier 20 and to stay in tier 20.

Hey all. I remember the days when I used to be tier 19.5, but after a few months break and the change to the arena, I can't get out of tier 19.
Make sens:, the game has been out a year and a half and the arena is judged on a curve, so with everyone getting higher merges, it's only natural that it takes more points.

My question is threefold:
1. How many points (average per match) are needed to get to tier 20 and then to stay in tier 20?
2. Do I need all 3 non-bonus units at +10 to stay in tier 20? Or two at +10 and one at +5? About where do my merges need to be?
3. I know armor and dragons have the highest BST, but is it feasible to +10 infantry or flyers to stay in tier 20?

Thanks!

It is very easy to get into T20 and you should be fine as long as you have some merged units and a bonus unit on your team. I don't know exactly how many points you need, but I think 718 per match could already be enough really.

To stay in T20 though, is a whole different challenge, as you will need some highly merged units. If I remember correctly the cutoff should be around 3655 or something points, so you should average 732 points per match. With the new Bonus Points you get by killing enemys with bonus units though, idk whether the cutoff is higher now.

However, you will be able to stay in T20 without having to max merge all your 3 non-bonus units as long as they aren't super low BST. Personally, I mostly use a +8 Myrhh, +10 Eirika and two unmerged Legendary Units (Ephraim & Hector) to make up for merges, but I'm sure a team of full +6 merges would reach the same amount of Arena Points.

Cut off before was averaging 732, but making sure a match or two had higher than that. The cutoff sadly is going to be higher since it provides more ways in getting points. That being said, the cut off is going to vary from week to week. Making it a real pain in the ass to really locate.

So a message to the OP, aim as high as you can and hope you get to stay.

1. As others have said, averaging 732 is no longer enough. In recent seasons, you probably needed an average of about 733. It's likely higher now due to the scoring changes, where you want to get wins with your bonus unit. TA3 and/or breakers can help with that.
2. Assuming you have expensive builds (double rally, tier 3 special, high SP seals) you can manage with not all at +10 but you'll have to reroll a lot.
3. Feasible but basically apply all the same rules as to number 2. My core is Effie, Fae, and A!Tiki all at +10 and I still find myself rerolling for 734 minimum. The range of matches I get is 728-740.
