Player phase skills and ploys

Do skills like mirror strike increase the threshold for ploy skills? I think the answer is yes because I was surprised by my Felicia successfully ploying S!Leo that tied with her res in the most recent blessed garden, but I'd like to verify that so that I can consider other options for my ployers.

No, ploys activation is on the start of the turn, while Mirror Strike only boost your Res on combat.

Maybe Leo had some debuff or your Felicia had a blue buff on the start of your turn.

Nah there weren't any other buffs factored in, but I did have Guunthra on the same team, so it was likely something from her. Guess I'll have to go replicate it and figure it out.

Chilling Seal
At the start of each turn, if unit's HP ≥ 50%, inflicts Atk/Spd-6 on foe on the enemy team with the lowest Def through its next action. (Skill cannot be inherited.) If there is a tie between several units, they will all get the debuff.

Maybe was not a ploy, but the Chilling Seal. Summer Leo have very low Def and Leo don't have much too.

no, play skills check or res at the start of the turn. The squad assult units have their stats artificially boosted so that is likely why it worked, because that S!leo has a higher res than he is supposed to so it was checking the base not the shown. the only skills that boost your chance of hitting ploys are ones that visibly boost your res stat like fortress res or res+3.

Blue buffs too, the problem is that is hard to use. Bride weapon/Light Breath+ on the enemy turn, but the hero must attack to help the ally with ploy in your next turn.

Yeah i understand.

Now that i have summoner support on my Arvis i was thinking of someone to buff his Res and help with ploys, and now that the brides are coming back(probably) i was thinking in using those weapons to do the job.

I love to use ploys, but with the giant boost that units are getting in PvE i need a way to help Arvis, and the brides are almost here.
