Perfect EP duelist?

So, I was looking at the mass simulator, and was testing out gamepedia's method for making their tier list. Enemies get +6/6/3/3 buffs, your hero gets +6 in two stats of choice. Enemy is merged to +10, ally merged to +5, and then simulate out the fights with the list of enemies.

I simulated against the 714-724 list found on the page itself (http://arcticsilverfox.com/feh_sim/) and found a build that beats the entire list under those circumstances. Just set it for the enemy to initiate, then my guy to initiate back and he won every matchup against every type of enemy, and I'm wondering if this is unusual, or not actually a very big deal?

Cuz if it's significant I can share the build, it took me some fiddling to weed out some of the outlying cases that were particularly difficult.

Mind you, the 714-724 list is a list of builds commonly seen at those levels in arena (so 'meta' stuff).

Also, I tested out the boons and banes, and the ONLY banes that fail are -res and -hp banes, and the boons don't seem to effect his ability to outduel the entire meta on EP. What do you guys think, should I share the build, or is this kind of thing possible with most of the top tier heroes?

Edit: Forgot to mention I had also tried removing any buffs on him, and he still beat the entire list, so entirely independent of team support he beats the meta as long as they engage. This just feels odd to me.

A few things to consider
- Your unit probably won't have +5, and a lot of your enemies will have either a lot of or very few merges.
- You'll run into lots of stuff not on the 714-724 list
- In what mode would you use such a unit? In most modes mages can come and mess you up, and lots of PvE have debuffing strategies against us
- If you enemy phase Surtr I'm pretty impressed
- +6 to two stats is impressive on an infantry unit.
- All of that aside, you probably found a good build. But don't expect 95% wins from this unit under real circumstances

I agree running the hard list better then looking at the specifics is the way to go. It tells you basically what you need to know and then you can base anything else off of what you already have without having to plug in each character

surtr with warding breath, close def and ignis, everything else is base kit. I didn’t see if surtr was in the list, but with wary fighter, you avoid getting doubled and I’m guessing it’d go fine. The only heroes that were a challenge were myrrh and, above all, fell robin... and nino lol. worth noting that as far as I could tell the sim didn’t even account for sinmara’s passive, which would make matchups even easier.

In the hard list, iirc, things like firesweep soleil were a nuisance because they avoided the ignis bomb, but the build still beats around 210/240 heroes in the hard list within 2 phases so I’m pretty pleased. The main takeaway, for me, is that res is actually what surtr needs to round himself out against the dragon meta. With wary fighter, physical bruisers aren’t a problem.

Well he still loses to the stuff that hard-countered him before - AoE specials (like, even a buffed Ophelia potentially), Lilina with pre-charged glimmer, axebreaker + slaying hammer, armoursmasher + death blow

There's also stuff like null follow-up on Ogma with panic ploy or vengeful Zelgius

A lot of those probably don't appear in the 714-724 list
