Part 3 on: Why is this a thing?

Really like this ‘defence’ in AR. If anyone wondering if this is a LynHardt hate post it isn’t. I can counter them all, it’s just that the AI rushed all the foes into my area and I couldn’t take them out, my precious Ylgr died.
I wonder what happens when there are 6 Cavaliers in AR defence, Oh no..

I kinda hate this mode tbh. You play once a day and usually it's just kinda the same dumb strategy which forces you to use the same dumb counters.

Scenario one:
I cant wait to use my team made up of my favorites!
-5 Wary Fighter Armors and Dragons
Guess I'll just use my dazzle comp...
I'm sure tomorrow will be better!

Scenario two:
I cant wait to use my team made up of my favorites!
-5 Horse Emblem with dancer(s)
Guess I'll just use my enemy phased tanks to handle them...
I'm sure tomorrow will be better!

There is. You haven't seen my map. I think the only "annoying" unit I have is honestly Brave Lyn. And She's using a brave bow (no firesweep yet).

In all honesty, there's plenty of those :use your fave: maps. It's just not as common as this.

I must just be unlucky then. But I kinda figured this was gonna be the result so I wasnt that excited about it. Biggest hindrance I think is too many structures and lack of player creativity. I accepted this game will never be that complex which is why I just want my co op :(

True. I don’t even play this mode that much because of this ‘amazing’ defence, it gets repetitive and a little bit boring. I use 2 offensive units and 2 defensive units to tackle this situation, but I guess the AI loves putting pressure on the player.

Honestly there's a reason I built Julius and its for maps like these. He can bait out and solo fight Cecilia, Reinhardt, and Veronica. Once he kills the first two in retaliation, the rest of muy team just mops up.

Honestly, recommendation (even if this wasn't you asking for one) do build a basic Julius. You'll love him if you see alot of mage cavs in your usual aether raids.

I may recommend you replace the Brazen Skill for Distant Defense.

I run double DD3 with Iceberg and QR3 and he literally takes down any and all mages in the game. It's actually quiet fun.

But for a +10 set like this, not bad at all.

(Hint he can even work for Close Counter due to the way his tome works)

Reinhardt will always be a trash unit and people who rely on him for defense wins will always be trash.

You actually won't have to sacrifice any of them to have a perfect win here. With Ike baiting Cecilia and Kagero baiting Reinhardt, you only need to deal with 3 units on turn 2, while you still have 5 units. Unless you are saying that both of them didn't have quick riposte here.

On turn 2:
Ylgr could take out Chrom easily.
Veronica + Ninian could take out B!Lyn.
You are left with Veronica.

Assuming that your Kagero has the highest Res, she could easily tank Veronica on the second enemy phase (keep her alive to get the free aether too). To last for 7 turns, just switch characters to tank Veronica, while you also have a healer to sustain these baits too.

It all depends on whether you had rearrange them in their most suitable positions at the very beginning, and whether both Ike and Kagero could double said attackers previously.
