made an account literally just to say this.

its not going to be flat damage. the words boosted damage implies that it will work like regnal astra, iceberg, bonfire, etc. Regnal Astra says the same thing but its not flat/true damage.

That's pretty much Flat/ True since it doesn't consider Defense or Weapon Triangle.

But yeah, if you add those Shield specials, I see what you mean but that term appears to be the former in FEHuniverse.

yes it does. A Regnal Astra, Bonfire, and Iceberg can all do 0 damage. Blue Flame will have its damaged reduced if an opponent has high enough defense just like every other special.

EternalDebt is right, my Wendy with def over 60 suffer 0 damage from Regnal Astra, but get 7 damage from Light brand and 10 from WoDao or Wrath..
So this new Blue Flame special may be just an additional damage that independent from any stat (unlike Bonfire or Iceberg), and not a pure damage that can pierce through defense.

note: you can block blade tome with a high resistance.

Yeah, only specific Prf weapons & the Wo Dao variations will do flat damage. Wrath is the only skill that'll add flat damage as well. No specials as of now do flat damage.
