Outcome of our boy, Al
So Al has been cursed to die in nine days. At first, I was gonna make a post of "why nine days?" Not seven? ("SEVEN DAYSSS!~" y'know, that reference).
But then I did some research. (Y'know about all the Nordic references around this world right? Muspell? Nifl? "Actual" realms in norse mythos. Askr and Embla? The first male and female respectively. And not even gonna talk about all the weapons.)
But why nine (days)? Well, there are several references to the number nine in Norse mythology. And there's one story that might correlate to the fate of Alfonse. Odin, the main dude, was hanged in Yggdrasil. How long? Nine days. Yep. So what happened? With that sacrifice, he gained power over the runes and learn their secrets.
So Alfonse? Feels like some shit might happen to Gustav. Either he dies, paralyzes, becomes incapable to serve as king. And with whatever happens to Sharena, Al figures out exactly what kind of king he needs to become. A strong, protective king. I think there are sacrifices that are soon to come that will bring Al some understanding. And his "death" is probably some statis, unable to do anything. Gustav and/or Sharena try to save him and fail. Seeing their deaths, Alfonse garners newfound strength.
If you're still reading, what do you think? What do you think will happen?
my bad, lol
Dunno what Hel has planned, but I think there are deaths abound. Some with character developing purpose. Al's "death," i think, is just to become incapacitated, subdued and sent to Hel's realm to be forced to watch other's death.
Gustav's death might be permanent. Sharena's could be under specific circumstances that she can be brought back.
Probably Eir has something to do with that. In the beginning, Hel tells Eir to join the Order to later betray. Eir joins, betrays Order, then betrays Hel and helps literally bringing back to the Order.
