Order of skills (what breaks what)

Is there some rhyme or reason to this bs? For example, why can Legendary Ephraim double a unit with Wary fighter? Is there some sound principle behind this or do you have to live with trial and error?

They simply cancel each other, in the case you described ephraim weapon effect and wary fighter will cancel each other and ephraim will double only if he has 5 more spd or another skill that makes him double

Did the Wary Fighter unit have 5 spd less than Ephraim? In cases where skills like Swordbreaker or similar effects clash with skills like Wary Fighter, both skills are cancelled and it depends on speed.
