Olivia's best boon is?

Oddly enough i have never bothered to build an Olivia but with her being a bonus units for the next TT i figure it's probably time. Since so many people use her i figured i'd ask what her best boon/weapon are to build with. I had already set aside a +Atk and a +Spd one some time ago so i really just need to choose one now.

Okay, this is a pretty weird thing to see, with Olivia being the easiest to get. But hey, to each his own.

Back on topic. +spd all the way. She can reach crazy amounts of speed as a merged 4 or 5 star, so either way is great. (may I recommend 4 star merge if you're low on feathers?)

For her weapon, ruby sword, wo dao, slaying edge, or silver sword.
Ruby and Wo Dao are about in the same range of use, slaying and silver are if you want a specialized build set. Ruby if you want to only use her for greens, wo dao if you want her to fight a bit more, and if you want to boost her speed up using the refinery.

For her A slot, TA3 or Fury 3. Up to you.

B Slot should be wings of mercy, a usual for all dancers in-game.

C Is dependent on team, and so is the s seal.

Good luck building her!

Yeah i know it's strange since i have and have built just about every other dancer except for P!Olivia (who hates me apparently). And yes there have been times where i regretted not having a red dancer so it kinda serves me right.

This is spot on, excellent advice ArgentSable. The only thing I would add is that for Bane you typically want - Res. It doesn't significantly change any match ups for Olivia. You want to avoid -HP and - Def as she needs to maintain her physical bulk for when she does go into combat. As far as weapons are concerned, the only addition I would make as an option is Armor Smasher+. It really helps add some extra oomph against the armors that are so common now. It's a specialized build, but one I felt worth mentioning.

The only thing I’d say to this: -HP is her best arena related bane. It’s not a superbane, and superbanes drop Olivia’s BST from the 150-154 range to 145-149 with a res/def/atk bane and any non-HP boon in conjunction.

You're correct for 5 star Olivia. I was mentioning under the assumption that it would be a 4* +10; I should have made that more clear. For a 4* Olivia is a -3 for a Res bane, rather than a -4.

I had assumed you were talking 5*, so I considered the land mine banes all around her stat spread at 5*. Lol

4* is safe from superbanes all around.

+Spd is best for her offensively and defensively.

She shouldn't be in combat very often, so +Atk isn't going to be super helpful. In situations where she needs to be in combat, +Spd puts her 36, which is enough to avoid doubles from units with 40 or lower speed. With a weapon refine, Fury, and Spd+3, she hits 45 Spd, and can avoid doubles from units with 49 or lower speed while being able to double far more units.

This was actually good for me to know as well. I have a +8 merged Olivia and wasn’t sure if going speed or attack was best because her attack can be very high with a little investment and her speed will still be in the 40s. I think I know which way to go now.

So thank you for asking this question.

+armorsmasher, shes meant for support so the wo dao builds are blah (i had it on her for a while). With armorsmasher she takes out hectors pretty easy as a last resort.

Haha, as an owner of a 4*+10 I love this post.

I'm tempted to blow all my orbs for 5*s off the tempest focus and own both a 4*+10 AND a 5*+Whatever my luck scores.

I've seen high speed Olivia being decent attacker with Fury 3+WoDao (spd refine)+Moon bow. Add on Wrath 3 you are looking at 140 out of 225 units getting KO by her which is impressive for a dancer.

Report

If you keep armorsmasher would + attack be better? Doesn’t armour slow you down?

Report

Not necessarily. I'd say that +Spd is still better overall because avoiding doubles is essential to her survival. The Armorsmasher+ is there to provide extra utility: She becomes a check to Armor units, but should not focus on killing them outright.

Although, an Olivia that initiates (standard dancer build with +Spd IV) still kills stuff like Hector, Grima, and W!Tharja--this is according to KageroChart, assuming that the enemy kept its default kit; and if the enemy is running Vengeful Fighter, then the only fight that results in Olivia's death is VA!Eliwood and Gwendolyn (still assuming that all other skills are the default).

Even if the enemy initiates on her, she dies only to VA!Eliwood and Effie (assuming default kits and no Bold Fighter or Brave weapons).

I think that's pretty impressive for a dancer.
