Ok so quick reminder for people who don't realize this yet

Since I keep seeing people ask if the Adrift banner units are going to be permanently put in or if they are seasonal units, and also who will be demoted

First off this seems to be a theme banner every other theme banner we got no one was demoted (Fallen and Muspell for example ), also no Alts have ever getten demoted (yet atleast) so the only unit viable for a demotion from this could be Mikoto but even then I highly doubt she will get demoted

Now for banners
You can easily tell if a banner is a normal banner where the units will get put into the summoning poll or if it's a Seasonal banner

If the Background for the banner is Black it's being put into the normal summoning poll

If the Background is White it's a Seasonal Banner

You can also look for your self by reading the first * point for the banner

I never noticed the background color thing, but yeah, it says so right there in the text. I always pause the video to read that part.

You can see from the schedule before we even know what the banner is.
"new heroes" = permanent
"special heroes" = seasonal

Yah I know that too

But "New Hero's" is rather vague this time around seeing that we really only got 1 new hero, and people compare normal alts with seasonal alts, I mean all the units here are pretty much cosplaying Azura so it's hard for some to tell

It's always been vague. "New Heroes" is not supposed to mean first time appearing in the game, it's more a direct note that "more" heroes are being added to the game, permanently if used on the event calendar.

Though they use the phrase "new heroes" when they do the silhouettes - which are primarily for the seasonal/special heroes. Which is definitely not "new heroes" as 95% of the time it is an alt of an existing character.

One thing to note is "new" is very different in Japanese culture to more English culture. You can see this if you've read the history behind why there was a New Nintendo 3DS, New Super Mario Bros Wii / U / 2, etc. NoA disagreed with using 'new' in these cases as it means something different in English than it does for Japanese.

I understand the whole thing around new units and what not, new units usually always have different statlines from their normal versions, it's just sad that they could have used actual new units that are not in the game over 3 Alts, don't get me wrong I love all three of the Alts especially F.Corrin but they could have had more verity of units, they could have had Lilith as are Dragon unit, Azete or what ever her name is as a Cave or Flier Red tome Sumaragi or how ever you spell his name, I know thsee story maps are going to focus around Loki lookinget for that dragon but we still could have had verity
