Obstruct

Hey there fellow FEH Players it's my first time asking a question on this side and I'm not a native english writer so have mercy with me.
Since the beginning of playing FEH (playing it for a little bit over half a year now) I had a nice idea of making a Obstruct Tank (using Obstruct as Seal not B Skill) because I really liked the idea and concept of the skill. Before I make the Seal I have some questions.
1. Question: In the description it says "adjacent spaces". I know the word adjacent, but does it mean you can only block your left and right side or does it mean every field direction? I'm not quite sure of how FE mechanics work (only played Sacred Stones).
2. Question: Is there a way to bypass Obstruct? Not counting Pass in, but like flying units or smiting or reposition into the obstructed field?
3 Question: Since I think it blocks every direction and thinking that only mages and archers can hurt the tank now, what would be a good tank to have? I fought of B!Ephriam because I like him as a armored unit.

Thanks for answers and sorry for the trouble.

I don't remember if it is on Skills studies but if it is then you should learn it there. but if not then it's hard to explain how it works without having a pic.

So imagine Giving ephraim obstruct and a horse unit is right in front of him then the horse unit can't go to Ephraims left or right side since obstruct blocks the enemy from moving to the unit's adjacent sides, so jsut one space not every field of direction..(It's hard to explain it)

If you just want your other units to have a literal Wall then sure since the Wall does'nt need to kill but instead their objective is to to take hits and survive.

If you want a tank but can be easily merged then Gwendolyn and Sheena are good choices, for infantry it would Lukas.
but Ephraim is still a good choice.

1) It works every direction.
2) I don't think it blocks skills like reposition and smite. But it blocks fliers the same as everyone else.
3) Melee units can still attack you. You can go into the space next to the obstruct unit, you just can't go through it.

That’s not really what obstruct means. It means that enemy units cannot move past the 4 tiles adjacent to the obstruct character, but they can still move into those tiles, just not anywhere past them. Melee unit’s can still attack the obstructers without fail. It is mostly used to choke points, stopping horses and limiting their massive 3 move.
Assist skills can bypass obstruct by moving units through the spaces, and pass completely bypasses it. Fliers are stopped by it though.
It is a terrible skill, not worth using or crafting.
It lacks suitable defensive capability and can’t be used offensively either, you’re better off with literally anything else

Hi welcome to this Q&A section. Your English is quite good.

Others have answered your questions for the most part, but I wanted to added that there was at some point or other a way to mess with the opponent's wings of mercy or escape route using obstruct because of the way the pathfinding AI worked. I tried it one time in either rival domains or grand conquests and I couldn't make it work, so I'm not sure if IS changed something.
