Objectively speaking how good is Camilla

How powerful would a bladetome Camilla the new one with her huge attack stat
Any comments? Yes aversa is there but she’s like a flying Valentina la Lillia who one shots a lot with her huge attack stat

Oh yeah that’s true but she hits like a truck
37 attack +13 bladetome +24 damage from bladetome + L+D +Hone fliers buffs with +3 attack SS and you get around 90+ attack which is crazy

Well, honestly, she's terrible.
The point of a blade tome is to have high speed, so you can use the massive attack from the tome to deal huge hits by doubling people.
But Camilla is slow, so she can't do that.
Aversa and summer tana are a heck of a lot better for such a build.

A lot of people consider LA!Lilina strong because of her bladetome build and she has similar offensive stats to Camilla. She also has a better advantage over LA!Lilina due to being a flier.

Also, fuck Camilla.

yeah but the only competition above her is Olwen who is objectively better. She also was a commonly pulled unit because she shared a color with Hector on debut. We now have access Aversa for free and S!Tana who both do that build better than she does, so she isn't bad there's just no reason to pull for her is you want a red bladetome mage.

EDIT: LA!Lilina is also a better bladetome on a budget by far. Not due to her build, but Hone/Fortify is accessible on horses very easily while the same can't be said for fliers.

Camilla.. Can't reach high speed. Huh?

I think many people overestimate just how much speed Bladetome units actually need. If you're not being blocked by something like Wary Fighter (which blocks you anyway), then you don't need THAT much speed to kill most of the units consistently used.

Even with neutral speed, she can easily reach 39 speed with just a Hone Fliers buff and a speed seal, not to mention an A slot skill that can increase it further. She has enough resistance to consider running Spd Ploy.

She's not the best red Bladetome mage in terms of speed, but she can be amazing given the right support, just like practically every other mage in game.

Of course she can, if you give her tons of premium skills and supports, and under the rigth conditions.
Now how much of that effort and resorce spending is necessarily for the other 2 fliers to be just as good, if not better?
Now you see why she's a bad blade tome weilder.

Add the Hone Flier and Fortify Flier buffs to her and she makes a great tank.

Do you know how ridiculously easy it is to stack atk and spd on flier emblem? I completed Abyssal Robin map with Camilla emblem and none of her alts are the speediest types but they consistently double. Adrift Camilla is just like Spring Camilla but their defensive stats are just swapped, the former being faster and hits harder while the latter is a better tank.
