Nowi build

I was wondering if I should go ahead and 5 star my Nowi (+Res, -HP)? She's a pretty strong unit with her built in DC.

I would eventually end up giving her Aether, Steady Breath, Vantage, and Drive Atk or any C support skill later.

Or should I wait it out until I finally get a better IV one?

I run the same exact IV spread on my Nowi, and I think that it's perfectly fine. It might not specialize quite as well as +Def or +Spd, but it gives her much more magic bulk and more flexibility / utility for your team.

With Steady Breath + Res-refine, she hits a solid 34 Def / 34 Res before any merges, buffs on her / debuffs on her opponents, and combat skills like Close Def. Her higher Res allows her to Ploy against a lot of the threatening Armor and Infantry units that typically have low Res. Just some examples: With Atk Ploy, she has an effective 39 Def / 39 Res against common units, which has 2 less Def than +Def boon with Def-refine and Steady Breath, but has much more Res in exchange; with Spd Ploy, she has an effective 32 Spd compared to 33 from +Spd boon with Spd-refine and Steady Breath, but still has much more Res and the same Def.

Renewal is more of a budget skill than anything (will eventually replace with Quick Riposte 3 or Guard 3), but I found it quite handy for when Nowi takes a bit too much damage and Aether can't bring her health to above 70% HP.

+res is strong especially with Guard and QR, but I prefer +def but anyway, here's mine

Like they said, +Res -HP is a great IV set for mixed tanking, she can also tackle other dragons slightly better with that. Once you get to higher merges and arena ranks you might consider swapping to another IV set.
