Not sure how to use Sanaki

Do people just stick with TA + Swordbreaker? That's boring and linear...and pretty much limited to Arena niché, somewhat. Not sure how to take full advantage of her new refine, either. Heavily considering getting her double Distant Def, but it's costly.

Mine is +Res/-HP.

I run Fury and Swordbreaker on mine, and I have a +SPD, -DEF Sanaki that is at least +2 merged.

Since yours is +RES, she can make great use of Ploy Skills and seals with like her 40 RES. To take advantage of her refine, you need some solid flying units like Hinoka, Valter, Minerva, Elincia or Tana just to name a handful. Hinoka especially with her personal weapon and refine for it.

I've seen a death blow + desperation build as well as a Fury +bowbreaker set with a raven tome. I personally run a Fury + Swordbreaker set. I would also recommend a bond skill since it pairs nicely with her Cymbeline effective refinement. That also changes up your team since it works only with a flying unit so you'd have to adjust your team, which in a way isn't as linear. Keep in mind though that the bond build is expensive and rare since the bond skills are very limited.

I mean; I run mine as TA + Swordbreaker in a mixed Flier comp with her refine; since it means I don't have to run a ranged flier (I have no S!Camilla or FeMorgan; my S!Corrin isn't finished, and H!Nowi I haven't really started building). Sanaki pairs brilliantly with units like NY!Azura; simply by virtue of having a flying dancer to activate her effect. Plus; Drive Atk 2 built into her weapon means your other fliers (preferably a blue sweeper as one of them) in range of activating her boost hit harder as well. Guidance support is kinda needed, though.

She could pull off double Distant pretty well; not gonna lie, but Celica is the better budget user.

I use Axebreaker on her and she’s probably the best unit for GHB that have axe units. I would also give her bond skills to stack with her weapon refine and she can rack up scary high numbers.

You can use her as a magic tank, a good skill for her is Mirror Stance, accesible if you have a spare Morgan (F). Another good option is Atk/Res Bond but that skill is seasonal and requires positioning.

Since her refinement means she will be in mixed teams, Tactic skills are great. One teammate with Res Tactic and Sanaki with Atk Tactic is a prelude to destruction.

I use mine with Cherche, her Cymbeline's Drive Atk and Hone Atk/Atk Tactic synergizes so well with a Brave Axe+. Also with Elincia (Amiti is so strong) or Hinoka with her Spear (+11 Atk if they're in adjacent spaces) but sadly, I don have them yet.

It is sometimes interesting to use close counter and vantage on her if you got high attack. its sneaky on people and miserable too since she hits very hard unless you got color advantage or tremendous res. Yes this is an expensive use of close counter since shes softy on def. Its purely used to surprise people for fun.

Not all that much of a gimmick, if you ask me. For one, it's at the cost of an A-slpt, which she'll really need if she wants super high Atk. Next, she has to consistently hit said Atk. Neutral Sanaki has 51 Atk, 54 with +3 Atk, etc...not happening.

I'm actually saving CC for a future Henry build, funnu enough.

Report

But Refined weapon gets her to +5 with a flier ally... +3 Atk sacred seal.... +Atk IV +3.... and if using two fliers, two infantry, then Atk Tactic +6.

Ta-da, you have 68 Atk now, not counting an Ally support.

I don't recall Flier bonus stacking. Actually tried, and I'm sure it doesn't work.
That's a lot of work for a short term gimmick. 68 Atk doesn't cut it for me. Even fairly practical use of Owl Tomes do better than that...

Give her Glacies Fury Axebreaker/Swordbreaker Res Ploy/Atk Ploy Heavyblade/atk seal and pair her with New Year Azura w/ guidance and spur atk. You can also replace Fury with Deathblow or Atk/Res stance if you dislike the chip dmg from Fury.

She is incredibly fun to use and blows up virtually all greens and red swords. At 40 res you will do 32 addtional dmg with Glacies.

My build might sound kinda dumb but I run Darting Blow + refined cymbaline with an S support on Hinoka (running hinoka's spear) which gives her 40-42SPD on initiation, and 39-41 RES on both phases so she can Iceberg everything to death. B-slot I run a seal-skill usually, but I think she could probably pull off desperation if Hinoka is close by.

I have that build. She breaks 40 Spd, but I don't know if it's all that optimal beyond non-Arena. Hell, may as well go with Blade Tome > Brash Desperation at that point.
