Normal Chrom A Skill?

Hello, I've another question. My only current Falchion user is the "basic" Chrom (whom I actually originally promoted for Aether but grew attached to him) with +Atk -HP. He's been performing better and better over time but he's still lacking A slot skill. Before everyone runs to say "Fury 3" I'm currently out of that and can only do Fury 2.

What other suggestions there would be? I have a somewhat limited and slightly odd pool for skills I could inherit on him. I'd try Fire Boost if not for that HP bane. I have considered Death Blow and that's readily available.

You can see the other current skills in the screenshot, very basic set. The seal I switch around, he's had Heavy Blade usually. Thanks for your time and input!

Fury is really cheap off hinata at 4* so I probably would hold out till you roll a few reds or promote a hinata from 3* for only 2k feathers. If you don’t have him then I would probably go with maybe fortress def or armored blow in terms of super cheap stuff.

I used my last Hinata just recently, so it's not an option right now. I have Bartre's but not going to use them for obvious reason. Thanks for your comment!

Fury is the budget option, Steady Breath or Atk/Def Bond would be the high end/expensive ones

Atk+3 is really cheap and useful too

Hmm, I wonder how I managed to skip Atk +3 completely, I've been "blessed" with many, many poor IV Cherches. That could do in a pinch. Thanks for the reminder!

If you have Death Blow, that might be a really neat skill to try to make sure he hits super hard. If you have a premium 5-Star fodder lying around, you can do a Bond skill, which pairs extremely well once you get his Effective Falchion refine. (Preferably, you should give him a Bond skill that gives +Atk, but don't sack Fjorm for this unless you have extras.)

As a note, Heavy Blade does take into effect any Field buffs (like Hone and Fortify) and Combat buffs (like Spurs, but also includes stuff like Death Blow and the Bond skills), so a combination of one of the above skills and HB is very effective at charging your Specials quickly.

Thank you! That's what I was thinking about with Death Blow too and I have two idle Kleins on the bench. Bond skills would indeed play really well together with the refined Falchion (next in row for refinery unless I decide to do Sanaki first) but sadly I have only one Fjorm and none of the others.

I think Death Blow is by far the best A skill for Chrom because as a Falchion user because he needs to maximise his damage in a single blow to maximise his chances of winning 1v1 against dragon units as unfortunately he won't be able to outspeed most of them unlike his relatives. Fury is still not a bad option especially with Falchion's renewal passive though

Thanks for your reply too and that is a major reason to try Death Blow. I'm going with it for now but will keep him in mind for Fury in case I feel doing more mixed phase thing.
